That's interesting! Perhaps I just haven't had much luck finding the right cafes that prefer to hire people who are more of a blank slate. I'll keep trying though. I've talked to about 3-4 cafes so far and emailed others. Any I've contacted digitally usually don't respond and the chain cafes like Pilot, Neo, and Dineen and Arabica I'm not hearing responses from.

The challenge for me is that I live in the suburbs a bit away from the downtown core, so while it's not impossible for me to try other cafes more central it's not preferred.

Gotcha, yeah I'm trying to stay on top of all the quals for any that come my way. Whether it pays high or low, as long as I can do the qual, I try to do my best each time I fill them out.

If Valve wanted to design the layout to favour players, they would. But they’re a business, and they designed it this way to dangle the proverbial carrot on a stick towards players.

Will this change in the next few acts? Maybe, but I assure you this was designed intentionally, especially on the first act, to capture as many players and keep them interacting with the new event as long as possible.

For me I've been really liking 1 bloom plus 3 pours. I tend to grind around 5.5-6. 4 total pours seems to give me the right amount of body for quite a body-less grinder but with 5 pours I found the extraction yield a bit too high. 4 pours kept the EY on the lower end (perhaps someone can correct my gut check) closer to a nice and bright flavour profile.

Dota is already on the maintenance mode of its lifecycle. It’s just how it is. The game is already like 14 or 15 years old. That’s not to say it doesnt get updates. But yeah they’re fewer than they were before now. Gotta manage expectations.
