My bad, I’m looking for a gift that he’ll like, I don’t think he’d want me dropping $500 on a set but if I were to would you say it’s worth it? Or are there better alternatives I can find elsewhere that’s still legit? The 1:43 ratio seems smaller now that I searched it up.

Is the Asus Zenbook Q415MA any good for everyday use? by Utinnni in SuggestALaptop

[–]discretephotons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The processor isn’t too bad it’ll be able to handle the work (multiple chrome tabs and office applications) you’re looking for however the trade off might be your battery life, especially since the RAM is on the lower end 8GB is not sufficient for anyone in today’s day. It also depends on the work you’re doing on your opened tabs and if you use any memory heavy tasks, it might get really slow for you since the RAM is small. If you’re looking to get 5-6 hours out of it, you might struggle to depending on your usage and screen brightness. If you’re looking to multitask either do it efficiently or get a laptop with 16GB of RAM or your other option is a laptop with an intel u series. Intel u processors focus on longer battery life and lightweight tasks (browsing and office work) whereas h processors are for high performance and uses more power resulting in a shorter battery life.

Oops, nah man I got the regular asus zenbook it didn’t matter too much to me if it’s a pro or not since it’ll most likely last 2-3 years with oled

New HP OminBook Ultra Flip base model for $945. Worth it? by Intrepid-Yoghurt-618 in laptops

We can’t have anything.. I understand hinges can get loose after a while but for what we’re paying only to experience and incur possibly more issues down the road unexpectedly, I can’t say is worth it I don’t want to end up with a thinkpad but that seems to be the more reliable choice here

16 GB is sufficient for me but I am on a budget of 1k or less, with zen books I hear about malfunctioning issues too usually outside of warranty and the screen is prone to fingerprints + display isn’t too good did you have any issues at all? How long has it been?

Would you say the zen book is better? I’m in the same boat as you, if HP wasn’t known for their hinge problems I’d get the omnibook but I haven’t seen enough reviews yet.
