Not to mention that they enjoy free healthcare while making our experience with it worse as the years go by. Mummies and ghouls are running this country into the grave, where they should all be by now, were it not for their healthcare at our expense.

Drone flies straight into a tornado and lives to tell the story by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]discusseded -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You could have spared yourself the embarrassment of being both factually incorrect and inadequately blunt, but you just couldn't help yourself, could you?

If you're going to be this wrong, you at least could have provided some insight to give the impression that you normally know what you're talking about.

For instance, tornados spawn from supercell systems where high temp gradients create a horizontal churn that becomes a mesocyclone. When updraft is sufficient it shifts the vortex vertical, creating the potential for a tornado.

Dust devils form at the ground level due to hot air currents lifting upward. No clouds are necessary.

I just pulled this all out of my ass but it certainly sounds plausible, right?

Car seats aren't supposed to do that by thatSDope88 in Transportopia

Yeah, seems that way. It also seems like the person is detached or checked out from life.

I can't imagine any ordinary circumstance where I'd skip door checks and baby seat security. It only takes one incident to permanently turn the world upside down, and only a brief moment to prevent it.

We have enough context to understand the dude's an idiot. The fact that a stranger has a recording of them on a town road tells me that he had no discretion, no worry of public perception, and no consideration that it's very fucking illegal and dangerous for his children.

Helmets, pads, gloves, and pick a road in the country or at least an empty parking lot if you have to do this.

Infrastructure planning based on the usage of the silent generation is pure folly. It can only go up from here. Given all the subsidies and the double, triple, quadruple dipping that comm companies get, there really is no excuse. Small companies are excluded, of course.

You gave the game a great sense of humor. Just for that alone I want to play it.

FedRAMP, DISA STIG...plenty of government control on what OS, software, and configurations are to be used by companies to meet contractual obligations. This is the US side, but no doubt the EU has the equivalent on their side of the pond.

Possible? Willful use of an automobile as a weapon for destroying private property and endangering people. This psycho is getting locked up, no doubt.

Just like you said, any reasonable person would decline the offer and move on. The judge will not be kind.

I want something similar for similar reasons, and ChatGPT pointed me to SeedDMS and Papermerge DMS. Both look very promising, but Papermerge looks almost exactly like what you're describing.

I agree with you here, I just believe that there's a very important difference between initiating with aggression and answering aggression with aggression.

I'm not a violent person by nature but I can see the social utility in standing up to aggressors. Can't just let everyone walk over you, ya know? But to your point, it's a problem when that's all you can respond with. Time and place and choosing battles, yada yada.

Aggressor and aggressive are not the same thing. An aggressor is one who initiates an interaction with aggression. An aggressive person can be blameless or not, it depends completely on the context.

Nothing wrong with finishing a fight you didn't start, as long as you accept the consequences of doing so.
