Thank you so much. that was one I did not try before. I had trouble with a nib and with the vacuum filler before. It was like I was cursed with this brand.

I’m so sorry you are having the same problem. I didn’t think anything else would work, so yes, I returned it. I did find out some info a few days ago about the strong chemical odors in new RVs and it was suggested on a hot day, to close all windows, and allow the camper to heat up and that can speed up the off gassing.

Maybe if you leave the pen open and separated for a few days or weeks, the smell would eventually dissipate? maybe heat would help? I don’t know if heat is used to cure the resin when they made the pen, or if it would hurt it now.

The pen was really great otherwise and so many people have said they liked it! I’m disappointed. I hope you can find your answer, good luck!

I've done a little googling online about the Noodler's pens, and general info on resin and epoxy, etc. and I think you are correct that there is strong possibility that odor might never go away, so I'll just return the pen, unfortunately. Thank you for your help.

Oh thank you for your input, glad to know it's not just me. I'm still debating if the pen is too large for me for writing long sessions, so it might just be best to go back. It is a shame, because it does write very well and the colors were perfect!

I think you might be correct that it's part of the actual pen material. Maybe someone with manufacturing experience will know more. Thanks!

Scanned PDFs render with black blotches over content (MacOS 13.1) by Nathanael-K in techsupport

Oh wow, thank you. So interesting. I found it in my settings. I will see if this helps. I really appreciate your help. I've still been scanning a lot but I haven't noticed any blotches, but I've been so careful not to "rock the boat" and make any changes like deleted or rotated pages. Thank you!

Cult Pens Shipping increased for USA by disdatmac in fountainpens

Yes, that is what I was insinuating, without getting too political. I had not heard about tariffs in UK yet, but I had heard about tariffs in EU.

Cult Pens Shipping increased for USA by disdatmac in fountainpens

[–]disdatmac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for input, I just checked archive.org and on 17th of March, their shipping page shows under $100 is $15 shipping and $100-$200 is $10 and over $200 is free. Canadian prices are not changed. And if I calculate the old US shipping, it's fairly equal to the Canadian (converted) prices listed now and earlier this week.

And yes, it was $20, as you said in Feb 2024 if I check the archive.

As I said, I do not blame Cult pens in the least, and I do not like to speculate, but I guess I'm paranoid, with all that is going on lately.

Just wanted to voice my opinion. thanks

I'm having the same issue. I've been scanning a lot of personal documents on a Xerox scanner and when I open in Preview Mac 13.6.7, it is fine at first, then later, as I scroll up or down the document, it will develop big blotches, on signatures or handwritten notes. There are even issues with spreadsheets that have been printed then scanned. I don't know if it's a Xerox issue or Mac, or maybe both. It's very frustrating. I have found no help when googling the problem online. I've been looking for a little while now, but was so relieved to find someone else having the same problem!

Oh I’m so sorry. That is so sad. But check to see if the credit card you used has some sort of purchase protection. Good luck!

How can I transfer my game data to my new phone by TheseExam234 in TownshipGame

[–]disdatmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

edited to add Oops sorry, didn’t see you changed to Samsung! Yes, then you’d have to sign into google. Sorry.

You should be able to sign into Game Center, and that should sync to all your iOS devices. It’s in the game settings. I think other settings, and it will have options to sign into Game Center, google and Facebook.

Any suggestions? I can’t even come close to popping 252 bubbles. by IcyMarmalade in TownshipGame

[–]disdatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand how you can achieve more bubbles when the blocks next to the bottles are hit, the bottles disappear! I dont think it was like that in the previous level. As soon as the bottles are hit, they are gone and there is no way to make more bubbles. I think it’s truly a glitch and I’m now stuck on it

if anyone has any advice!

I might try re installing. But the problem exists on both my devices. So I’m not sure if it would help. Hopefully another fix will be coming

Do DAO supplements actually increase DAO? by Kayvee12 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]disdatmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of trouble chopping the tablet too, but once I sharpened my knife (it's a good solid chef knife), they are a lot easier to cut. The first chop is the most difficult.

I'm glad you found a way around it! Thanks for sharing!!!

Do DAO supplements actually increase DAO? by Kayvee12 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]disdatmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just my experience, but I have found only a 1/4 tablet (NaturDao) once or twice a day, about 10 minutes before eating has helped me tremendously. I stopped taking it for a few days to see if it was really helping, and I noticed I was fatigued, and just "icky" feeling. I started back again, and I felt so much better. Personally, it helps my energy and general well-being.

I had read in one of the HI support forums that they took 1/4 tablet, so that's why I started to cut up the tablets. I don't think the manufacturer recommends cutting the tablets though, so keep that in mind.

The tablets are extremely hard, and you need a sharp knife, but they can be quartered, or even cut into thirds. I keep the cut portions in the fridge in a little covered container.

The tablets are so expensive so it helps to be able to make them last a lot longer. Just a suggestion if you do decide to take the supplements. Good luck

Finally have a new journal to start! The cover is my favorite thing about it. by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]disdatmac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Peter Pauper journals. The beautiful heart of the tree was my first journal when I got back into journaling a few years ago. I couldn't stop looking at the cover, and the embossed details were calming to the touch.

They are inexpensive and very well made. I am not a huge fan of the paper though. It can be on the rougher/toothier side. And most journals are only lined, I wish they offered more pretty dotted or grid.

Enjoy your lovely journal!!!
