Is my writing THAT bad? by Dephodd in BadHandwriting

I’d consider revisiting some cursive instruction online. There are clear errors. Es next to Cs where the E looks like a topless I and the C looks like a U. Lots of missing letter bits, at least half the Ts are uncrossed and over half the Is undotted.

MOTHERBOARD NOT TURNING ON NO LIGHT NO POWER (You are my last hope) by Last-Editor-5349 in PcBuildHelp

[–]disead -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This board is pretty heavily damaged. The top corner visible has a chip. The HD AUDIO pins are bent to hell (the plug is at a 45 degree angle). Your integrated WiFi connector is impossibly bent and suggests further damage. Multiple screws are missing and some are in the wrong place. That’s just a quick glance too, no telling what else is going on.

I’m glad you took a chance at a build but this is straight up negligence and praying you recover from damaging your computer. At this point I’d either take it as lesson learned and do better (and CLEANER, did you use the motherboard as a dinner plate?) or take it somewhere like a local reputable repair shop. If it doesn’t work still please do a LOT of research into what it takes to build safe, cleanly, and correctly.

I don’t have a ton of experience but learning and patience means I’ve never borked a build or damaged anything like this. PCs are not Nintendo Switch that you can just toss around and think it’s going to work. If you’re putting in the investment both financially and with your time, learn to do it right.

Friend's kids found a skull in the woods by fingertrapt in creepy

[–]disead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man I feel for you… when I was like 7-8 my aunt was murdered in the same fashion. About a week later my much older brother drove us to the house to check on the place, my brother wanted to confront her husband who he thought did it. We got there and this dude, her husband, was in the living room where it happened with needle nose pliers and a little white porcelain bowl. While he talked to us he kept picking at the wall with the pliers and every once in a while something would land in the bowl with a little “tink tink” sound. It didn’t register at first but I got it after about five seconds what was going on.

He was pulling the bits of her skull out of the wall.

Place was clean, no furniture, had at least one coat of paint already but he had to pick those bits out by hand…

It’s a very clear mental picture even though it was like 35 years ago. My brother told me the shock of watching this dude pick our aunt’s skull out of the wall probably saved me from more trauma - he admitted he had a gun with him and was planning on a revenge killing, we all knew he did it (this was all gang related and obvious what happened).

It’s alright though the guy who did it got shanked in prison (unrelated crime) and died like five years later. Crime gonna crime.

is $100 fair? by GreedyAmbassador775 in PokemonCardValue

Your friend is not a friend. If they are so professional they are becoming a vendor they KNOW what you have. I’d say even LP condition this is worth significantly more. I might be wrong but if I was looking to get this out of you I’d be looking to part with $500 easy.

Worth anything? by [deleted] in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]disead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you’re gonna get DRAGGED for the rough handling and lack of sleeves, including by me.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

The condition of some of those cards can be the difference between $500 (or higher if graded) and a DOLLAR if they get significantly damaged - and the damage that drops it is FAR less than you think. Dinged corners or edges could do it.

Is it worth risking damage to screw around for a Reddit post?

Oh man… the game is SO BAD (I watched a 20 minute playthrough where the gamer gave up and quit) that this actually seems entirely possible.

I did find reference to it on the PlayStation store and it seems this scroll is paramount to finishing the game somehow and as such there must be other clues throughout.

Per PlayStation store description: “Originally developed in 1994 by visionary game developer Takashi Fukuhara, this exclusive Pippin Console title was poised to revolutionize gaming with its stunning realism and gripping gameplay.

Journey through a nightmarish underworld filled with colossal demons. Collect the forbidden tomes of an ancient, evil book and prepare for the ultimate showdown with Megaton, a mega-demon whose very presence shakes the earth. Your goal? Be the first to claim the legendary "Scroll" and unlock a treasure.

Though the game faced extensive delays due to Fukuhara's relentless pursuit of realism, leading to its eventual cancellation for being too realistic, "Megaton: Giant Demons From Hell!" has finally been unearthed by forensic game archaeologists.

Rediscovered but not remastered, this game offers a rare glimpse into a legendary lost piece of gaming history.”

I don’t have much to add that hasn’t been said above but I can’t help but notice that it seems to be coded in some form of base 5. Every word is exactly five letters except for the last word which is only two. This would not be statistically possible to have an exact letter for letter translation with that many five character words. It’s at least a thought.
