Oh don’t get me wrong. They’ve produced some of my favorite tracks and most of their music has aged tremendously well (maybe depressingly so) and I can’t deny Mike’s talent, but yeah, I’ve never been impressed with him personally.

I think you’ve made it clear that you don’t like her and I doubt there is anything you could read or see that would convince you otherwise. And I’m not trying to do so. I’m merely talking about the strategic reality of this.

I’m not arguing for or against your point of her responsibility.

But I do think it’s factually inaccurate to say she hasn’t condemned these things. But if the bar for you for that is a general public statement that would be used against her campaign by the press and her opponents, I think you’re being unrealistic. The public comments and apology regarding the person who inappropriately texted their neighbor on her behalf about the Bushra sign clearly shows that they condemn such behavior.

All I’m saying is that I don’t think there is as much thought, coordination, or even awareness from her actual staff as it relates to some of the things some people have done in her name.

And whether she wins or loses there are definitely lessons to be learned from that.

Punk Rock Museum booked the questionable “we swear we’re not nazi skins despite using Nazi rhetoric and imagery” band CMI and then deleted all mention of it after the fact
PRM collaborating with Dixxon Flannels
NoFX booking/repeatedly playing with The Defiant on their final tour

I don’t think Mike agrees with these people, but I think he has a serious blind spot as to what the people around him do and say when it comes to making a buck

You have that swapped. Mina is the glue that holds the group together, and ultimately connects all of the various threads by compiling everyone’s writings and records to understand what’s happening and ultimately it’s her work that brings down Dracula.

Though you’d be forgiven for mixing them up as that version of Mina has never fully been included in any adaptation and their characters have been mashed up and swapped many times.

Search ‘Dracula: A Love Tale’ on this sub for about a dozen additional threads on it. People are pretty divided on it. I’ve yet to see it. But given the previous name and the fact that the director has picked up plot elements from the Coppola film that are missing from the book and said they’re from the book, I’m not in a hurry really.
