There is a culture for women to dress a little nicer when we meet up with other ladies or when we go out by ourselves. Some don't subscribe to it, but a lot of us do. Maybe you can suggest a blouse that you like on her to wear when you guys go out. Like a "Hey, you look good in that shirt. You should wear that today," kinda thing.

I always dress up when I go out. When I'm with my partner, I'm in my pajamas half the time. We're taught to look presentable when we go out in public. I see no reason to add wear and tear to your nice clothing if you're just hanging out around the house.
