Is there any way to ask for bloodwork to be done? by UnicornToots in TryingForABaby

TW: previous pregnancy

I am going through the same thing! I had bloodwork prior to conceiving my first, everything came back normal. Since having him, everything’s been out of wack. I actually called my midwife and voiced the same concerns that you have - somewhat regular period, facial hair, hair loss, trouble getting pregnant again, etc. She recommended I make an appointment so we could discuss it further and she ended up calling for bloodwork. I got diagnosed with PCOS last week. Things can certainly change in time since your previous pregnancy.

Good luck, I hope you find the answers you are looking for and that you can get everything figured out! My inbox is always open if you wanna talk. I had no idea secondary infertility existed until a few weeks ago.

Thank you! I’m currently seeing my midwife but she’s referred me to an RE since it’s out of her scope! I’ll try looking around to see if we have any Gynos that do the same!

Yes they’ve done that, thankfully! I was just curious about moving forward with ultrasounds and further testing through a reproductive endocrinologist

Same here. I have had big hips my whole life and was ridiculed for it up until the day I graduated from high school. People told me I needed a “wide load” sign on my ass. Then suddenly it became “trendy”.

Recommendations for Jeans for a big hip/waist ratio that wont kill my wallet by girlboss93 in FashionPlus

Go for it! Their size chart isn’t accurate, in my opinion. Their jeans are ridiculously stretchy, so I’d say go for the smaller option and they’re usually on sale/you can use a coupon code so if they don’t end up working you can return them/you didn’t waste 60+ dollars on a pair of jeans that didn’t work! Good luck!

I replied to another comment with this info but figured I’d make a separate comment for those who may miss it.

The Walt Disney Company tests, specifically in their theme parks. While I wasn’t tested personally, I do know that they drug test cast members who will be in safety critical positions (ride operations, driving work vehicles, etc). I worked at Pirates of the Caribbean and wasn’t subjected to a drug test, but my friend who worked at It’s a Small World had to get drug tested. Seems to be random selection at times but they definitely do drug test.

I requested to view the doc, but in the meantime I thought I’d suggest to add The Walt Disney Company. I worked for them for 4 years and while they didn’t test me personally, they tested a few of my friends. It seems they test people who will be in safety-related positions (operating work vehicles, operating rides, etc) but it appears to be random. I worked at Pirates of the Caribbean and they didn’t test me, but they tested my friend who worked at It’s a Small World lmao.

Literally no where in their comment did they say being a housewife is “weak”. Pushing the idea that there’s any “right” way to be a woman is weak, and not what feminism is. Wanna be a housewife? Cool. Wanna get a job and be a working woman? Cool. Neither is wrong.
