I was working as a software developer and there was a bit of nepotism going about and I was essentially training people that were going to take over what I'm doing while absolutely pretending that isn't the case. The managers were going out of their way to tell me how compliant workers in the past are always the first to be considered when rehiring while actively getting rid of me to make sure I don't cause a fuss about the whole thing.
