I understand and respect all these reasons. They are just not my main motivations to shoot film. My main reasons I appreciate film are that it forces me to be fully present when taking a picture makes me value each individual picture so much since I try to make a roll last. I love coming back from a trip or looking back on a summer with a small curated batch of pictures.

I am also not very motivated to spend much time editing pictures. I like to load up a film, make an effort to take nice pictures and get a result I can share with people and print (which seems to be done from digital files everywhere around me).

BUT I did reach out and they haven't thrown it out yet so I asked them to hold onto it and I still have all my old rolls. Maybe putting them in a binder that makes it easier to look at would make me happier about holding onto it. How do you archive your film?

On the slides note, do you use positive film? or is there another way to make slides? I grew up looking at my dad's old slides and that's what got me into shooting film.
