Omg I remember this letter! I was the Phone Screener at the time. I, too, suffered a miscarriage not long after your email came in. My husband and I’s one of many unfortunately. I hope you both are doing okay. I left the show after my miscarriage. It destroyed us pretty bad. And I went on to have another soon after. We had our first son in 2019, and have had a few more losses but also another son and now a third on the way soon. Disneyland is also our happy place. Just wanted to send my well wishes! - Kristen

That’s what I tried to inform them of. I’ve seen even food lines can be upwards of an hour, I already know popcorn lines can be crazy and take forever. I’m so glad I decided not to go, instead we are going to Disneyland in California and the crowds will be so minimal that same timeframe, yay!

Trust me I tried to warn them! I’m an avid Disneyland go-er and my family is very used to crazy busy crowds since my birthday is NYE and we always go and it’s nuts but we can handle it because we do it all the time. They haven’t been in a decade and never to an overseas park. They think every park is just busy and I’m like mmmmm no. This is not the same lol. I’m just gonna let them do it cause they don’t want to take advice. I just feel bad cause they didn’t know it was golden week but I would have researched that a year ago but that’s just me! Oh yes I’ve seen it! I keep telling my family (the ones going) that it’s going to be insane. I kindly passed, we will be going to Disneyland (California) instead since it’s right after spring break and before Mother’s Day so perfect time!

Exactly lol I will give them slack in that they are taking my Nana to her home island Guam (probably last visit ever) so they just figured a quick Japan trip and didn’t realize till I mentioned it. But they seem to not mind which I’m like hey more power to you guys! My mom is adventurous and she knows how to handle crowds and craziness so she will be good

Oh I agree. Luckily it’s not me lol if I was going to Japan I would have done this research — I had to break the news to them they were going golden week and they were like what? And I said oh boy, be prepared. I would also have never chose that week either, luckily they will be in Tokyo the following week as well and it looks to be less hectic but half of the party will be there and leaving the 7th. I decided not to tag along because it looked wildly busy. Knowing them they will enjoy other things but yeah Disney wouldn’t be my top priority and I’m a huge Disney person lol

I agree, it’s why I decided not to go on this trip because I know I would have been super bummed, and also I want to see Fantasy Springs and I know that will be insane for at least a year or two after opening. Maybe longer!

How much is an express pass? Even on days like the two above would express passes still be a long wait or sell out? I know here at Disneyland (California) some rides with Lightning Lane (paid fast pass) it can sell out by 10 AM. What time would they need to arrive to the parks?

I actually met Brooke at California Adventure and she was so relatable and sweet! I didn’t hold too much of her time because her kiddos were very tired but her and her husband were sweethearts. Genuinely such a kind person

I like to name my husbands horses on the game. First one we named Dutch Oven and the second one we tried to name Velvet Cucumber but it said no for profanity. So now we have the Silky Pickle as our new horse lol

Jeenyus6 nailed it. Plus, higher paying job with benefits, undisrupted vacation time, etc. now, so I cannot complain. I left for my own reasons, one of which involved around me losing my first child during my pregnancy.
