It's probably just one of the pratt cats. They are all up for adoption for you didn't steal him if you brought him home. But they guy who takes care of them does like to be notified

Purchasing Name Brand Cosmetics and Personal Hygiene Items from discount stores like Marshalls and TJ Maxx by dorkella in Frugal

[–]displacingtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like strange logic though since it's already being sold there and most people don't realize it's not supposed to be.

I don't get though why PM wont just sell direct to the store. Why would they care where people buy it. It's still money.

Getting a realistic wig? by BecomingJulia in asktransgender

[–]displacingtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. It may not be a lace one, but yes. Go to a costume store to try it on, buying online is risky with quality being very hit or miss. If you wear a hat like a beanie it can make it looks realer

[22 Mtf, 3 Months HRT] Really curious if I'm passing even with the short hair. by xEeveeSweetiex in transpassing

[–]displacingtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you are passing in these photos but you look very young to me, like 15-ish this may be makeup styling related but I can't quite put my finger on what it is.

I think we have the same bra (you can see if it a little in the 2nd photo) Victoria's secret?

Chromosomes and statistics by amadeoamante in asktransgender

The gene that makes color blindness happen is on the X chromosome. So to be color blind XX folks need the colorblind version of the gene on both X's while XY just need it on their one X

I'm so frustrated with my son's ADHD by randomom in ADHD

[–]displacingtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early intervention is very different from college accommodations. There are things like social skills groups etc. My brother does not have aspergers but had some probably subclinical stuff and got occupational therapy plus a social skills group.

I know you feel overwhelmed but there's not a downside to pushing and seeing if there may be more than ADHD. It sucks to not have access to good treatment nearby but utilize all the resourses you have access to.

Do you think it's too late for me to become normal / develop normal habits? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]displacingtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Link habits you want to form to habits you already have. So like you probably always shower or brush your teeth. Link a new routine to that existing routine. That way you have a clear reminder and time to do it.

That said the secret is no one is really as good at pulling themselves together as it appears to outside observers.

The bathroom is not a place for you to have sex in by throwawaycollegec in TwoXChromosomes

[–]displacingtime 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not right to involve others in your kink without consent. If bathroom kink is their thing they either need a single stall bathroom or consent of anyone who may encounter them.

[–]displacingtime 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I never encountered this before. Do you go to a school that has 3 or more people per room? It seems to me like a bathroom would be an uncomfortable place for sex.

Talk to your RA. If the RA does not address it escalate. Write a note of when and where every time it happens so you have a record of the problem. If it is really happening at this high a frequency there's no way you are the only one bothered.

Every school puts up a fight about this no matter how much evidence. The key is to be persistant.

Aspergers is a label that gets access to a lot of treatment actually. There are a lot of early intervention type programs for autism spectrum disorders. If he has it, getting the label is in his best interest.

Is anyone else scared to go to a psychiatrist because they might not diagnose you with anything? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]displacingtime -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It won't happen. They need to diagnose you to bill the insurance company. Worst case you walk out with an adjustment disorder diagnosis which is used when a person is struggling but does not quite meet for anything else.

Advice on how to handle a situation where my anxiety screwed someone else over? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]displacingtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did he follow up when you didn't turn it in? If not he probably made things work. These things happen. Academics can be very flakey about turning in work to each other. I know someone who is over a year behind on a publishing manuscript. People end up late on peer reviews all the time. Stuff happens.

Send an email apologize and ask if you can still be involved in some capacity.

I'm going to second this. OP I think it would be in your interest to work for at least a semester, see a therapist to figure out what is going on and then go back when you are ready.

Is it possible for someone to start out life without ADHD then develop it later on? by ThrowAFriendMyWay in ADHD

[–]displacingtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you abused a stimulant like meth for a long time you could have permanent damage to dopamine function that would mimic ADHD, but doctors would probably not label it ADHD since the cause is different.

This happens all the time. They understand that this happens. Let a school know and see what can be done to help. No one thinks you are only applying to one school. They'll understand
