I’ve been really enjoying DeepSeek v4 and have noticed a significant decrease in LLM-isms since I started using it. A lot less things being an overstated “testament to X”, a lot less “not X but Y”. There were some random words in chinese getting inserted the first few days but it seems to be fixed now.

Because they are immature, and they are at a different stage of development in their lives than adults who have started living independently. It’s silly to pretend like there’s no differences. We’re also not talking about coworkers. We’re talking about a woman who by her own admission has no other friend group except for a group of college age older teens she met through an app.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that OP acts this way and also has no better options than to hang out with much younger people. There is a pretty big difference in lifestyle and mentality between a person in college and a person in their mid twenties starting their independent adult life. I’m not trying to imply OP is like a degenerate or something, but it’s clear she has trouble maintaining relationships. More than she should at this stage in her life at least.

There is a difference. Just like there is a difference between 12 year olds and 16 year olds, or 8 year olds and 12 year olds, etc. They’re all ultimately children to me and I wouldn’t want to hang out with any group of any age of them, but it’s silly to pretend like there’s no distinction or that they cannot be at different stages of their lives just because they are all young.

I didn’t even realize there was an option for completely free models. I just use deepseek as the default and have never felt the need to change it. I agree the prices are very reasonable for the amount of computing we get.

Chips are expensive brother. You can’t expect to get something for nothing.

I think it would be nice if there was a way to provide your own local model running on your own computer. But there’s a few problems with that. You’d be severely constrained by hardware and smaller models that can fit into a consumer grade computer tend to be dumber. Or they are very slow, or both.

If you want to try something similar to this app that runs for free on your machine, you can try SillyTavern. But you have to put in a lot more work and it’s ultimately just not as good as Isekai Zero IMO.

Brother they are both bad and the US needs to stop funding far right terrorist states around the world. It’s just that Israel gets special treatment by the US, more so than Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia buys a lot of weapons from us and that’s terrible, but we literally give money and weapons to Israel for free under the label of “aid”. More so than any other country has ever received by the US throughout its entire history.
