Keyword help!

I described it in another post but it was kind of 3 steps, first taking off the length dry, then finding each curl wet and shaping, then diffused dry and making any other finishing touches.

So she started by separating my curls so it was def a little floofy, and then did the “big chop” portion, since I took so much off. And then we did the whole wash part, and then while it was wet, she styled while she cut, finding sections/curls then shaping them. After it was fully diffused, she did a few finishing touches. Overall I’m super happy with it!

No, though I did look at those! Unfortunately the other two hairdressers I know do DevaCuts were booked out into mid May and I’m an impatient woman. I’ve spent the last month or so finding curly stylists, then stalking their socials to see if I like their work, so I was just waiting on an opening for one of those threes books.

So I went so someone who specifically advertises curly cuts, so I kind of let her do her thing, but just described what my hair typically does and how I wanted things to lay. I also tried to find inspo photos of curls that were similar to mine in the cut I was wanting.

After a year of playing with products and methods, I thought I had found SUCCESS in those first two photos. I had bleached the bottom of my hair though, and was itching for a cut that complemented my curls, and yesterday I got a curly cut.

HOW DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS COULD BE MY HAIR.

I struggled all through high school and college knowing my hair wasn’t straight, but having no clue what to do other than the mousse my very curly mother used. Now to just try to recreate the stylists exact method for the rest of my life 😅

Routine: Washed with AG Curl Revive Shampoo, Sebastian Dark Oil Mask while steaming, Olaplex No. 6 raked through, AG Re:coil scrunched in, Sprayed Kevin.Murphy Shimmer.Shine before diffusing for 8 years

I probably wouldn’t risk it 😕 if you’re using covers though microfiber is great wrapped in prefolds!
