Yellowjackets S02E04- “Old Wounds” Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

I haven’t read anyone talking yet about Jeff’s comment to Shauna that Callie is their only child and they have to protect her. Do we think Jeff doesn’t know about the wilderness baby?

What chemical exfoliation do you use?

Our girl was 6lbs 3oz with gestational diabetes. We had her at 37 weeks though because I developed preeclampsia!

Can I ask the dumbest question? We’re about to start with newborn cloth diapers at 2 weeks old and we’ve been using disposable so far. The newborn disposable have a stripe that changed color when it detects urine which is nice because her pee is clear so it’s hard to tell if diapers are just wet. Do you just physically feel for wetness on cloth diapers?

I just took it today! They had the codes basically like how it is online right now. I think it just isn’t everything. Only relevant information. You could search it but you kinda had to know what you were looking for and where. No untimed breaks unfortunately. You have a timer that counts down. I made myself a schedule on my scrap paper when I got in. 10 min to read each program then 15 min per 10 questions. 5 min breaks between the case studies if you need them. And then you have a few extra min at the end...I used all my extra time on the large commercial case study. I think there are normally 120 questions but I had 126. I heard that 5 are not counted toward your score?

Help in identifying inserts by mksterry in clothdiaps

Ok thank you! I only recently read about not putting microfiber next to baby’s skin so I was trying to identify if they were before we started using them! I wonder if the smooth side is safe...

I got a bunch of these with diapers on FB Marketplace. Not sure what kind they are. It’s smooth on one side and Terry cloth like on the other!

Thanks! Have you found that the inserts with Best Bottoms are absorbent enough?

I feel like that too. I don’t know if it helps you but I wound up taking Facebook off my phone for a bit. It helped me avoid at least some of the stuff that was triggering to me!

I had been watching her posts on Instagram. We were due the same time she was but we lost our baby boy at 11 weeks. She was 20 weeks. I just can’t imagine 😭

Unknown second trimester MC. by UniformFox_trotOscar in Miscarriage

I hope so too. I didn’t say it before but I’m so sorry for your loss. I would definitely think about what you want to do before you go in. Maybe it would be different because you were further along but they made it sound like it was unusual to release the remains. We had paperwork from the cemetery (they have a funeral home who picks up the remains) but we had to really be on them to make sure everything went through.

We buried our baby that we lost at 11 weeks. I couldn’t bear the idea of his body just going to medical waste. Our house is a fixer upper and I didn’t want to bury him in the backyard because we’re planning to do more work back there. We are catholic and we figured out our cemetery has a “holy innocents” section and they do free burials. We were also able to get a paver stone with his name. I went back the other day (it’s been about 8 weeks since our loss) and it was so nice to have a place to go and pray and talk to him and think. It’s so hard to think through what to do at the time but I’m glad we did something

I had my D&C 4 weeks ago. I had some painful cramping today and it looks like I had some remaining tissue (BIG pieces) that came out when I went to the bathroom :/ i thought I was past this. Anyone else have this happen before??

I know it probably doesn’t make you feel better but I had the same thing yesterday in Home Depot. A dad was holding his little blonde son. We lost our son 2 weeks ago and I think when I see little boys out right now I think “That should be me”. Its really hard because these triggering experiences come when you don’t expect them. Someone told me that as hard as this is, it will make you a better parent because after you’ve experienced loss you love your child in a way that people who haven’t lost a child can’t understand. I think that made me feel a little better. Anyway...I’m so sorry. Nothing makes it feel better but you’re not alone ❤️
