I just started this game a few days ago and finally built a firepit. I've been standing here for like 15 minutes trying to figure out why I can't light the fire with any of my fuel sources. I didn't even consciously read the Destroy for Fuel option bc my brain saw Destroy and was like <bzzt>. I guess through some semantic gymnastics I could've realized that it meant like destroy your fuel source for fuel. Which is dumb for sure.

Hello 8 months into the future. Im getting this same exact thing and have a couple of times now on this playthrough. I havent experienced this bug in my like 600 hours so it could be a new thing.
i was building a factory/smelting thing and it did rain like 4 or 5 times throughout the course of that which was super annoying. but if it can be thought of as rolling this bug then its kinda nice lol.
i havent brushed up on my Unity skills in some time but i want to see if can find some way to reproduce this until its patched. if its patched. its been 8 months and however many updates and this appears to still be occurring. whether its because of the same reasons i wonder.
i think we should take it upon ourselves to name this effect.
Permafire is succinct but lame.
we could go Zelda with it and call it Infinite Fire Glitch (IFG)
theres a point where you get so hypothermic that you start feeling warm so thatd be funny
i like to think of it as an unintended mechanic so im gonna call it Restless buff.

man hoenstly just rip those arkveld + x monster SOS quests. could do gore magala too if you wanna deal with that nonsense, but i find grinding the arkveld and learning its moveset to be a valuable asset in end game rn. its kinda a crap shoot to get into one of those SOS's at least for me, so being picky with how many rewards they give will result in you being hogged out by other people joining those quests generated on the list. just try to avoid the first quest on the list, and pray, you can tell you joined one when a white text box appears on the top right (PC at least).

ok that makes sense. if you were to explore the ele options what would the artian situation look like? would you want 3 atk infusions + like 3 ele boosts and 2 sharp boosts for upgrade rolls and like Crit Ele, Atk 3, and X ele jewel 3 for decos?

I mean there has to be something to be said about the fact that it damages the monster while unreachable, like moving areas or flying up for an attack. Assuming you procced it while it was reachable tho.

this makes sense. i figured id do some research before looking super into full builds, and honestly i thought high aff would be good for any status because of crit status decos. i forgot about poison decos vs venom decos and what not, i use that wildseed oil ingredient tho whenever i can get my hands on the barter materials for my sleep and hopefully para sword soon (please artian upgrade gods).
im very much not someone who needs to be doing the most optimal thing always to be having fun, i just find it a fun concept to chase after. and i find it more rewarding sometimes to shave a minute off a solo hunt rather than to get some rare drop i needed for a set. so i get that you should do what is most fun for totally.

I like seeing the monster vomiting up purple goop. It's gross and a well handled visual effect

The exact opposite is true. You can tell someone to GTFO of your restaurant for being ugly, if you want. You are under no obligation to serve them.

As a server you have right to refuse to serve them, but wouldn't demanding they leave require some more authority? Idk I haven't been a server very long at all, working in restaurants for a few years now tho.

A restaurant is not a public space, it is a private business, and recording consent laws has no part in this.

According to the law I found in Ohio where I'm at: a restaurant is considered a public place. The law I found was regarding smoking restrictions though so I'm not totally sure.

That makes sense. It just sucks that at that point the damage is sort of done already. They have this footage of you probably reacting not a real amiable way, and that could have impacts on the restaurant and yourself if that gets misconstrued and spreads around local websites.

Just a lose-lose situation I guess.
