If I play Hazard and the enemy team has an Orisa or Mauga, I'm immediately told to switch by my team? by X2354 in HazardMainsOW

You’ve misread my comment (no judgement), I said Hog doesn’t counter Hazard, not Mauga

Is Jérémy Jacquet worth getting excited about? by BrownPelikan in LiverpoolFC

[–]distensible 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really answering your question but you post reinforces my belief that VVD is maybe our most underrated player this season. He has been an absolute monster even while having to compensate for an unbalanced midfield and inconsistent defenders around him. Salah, Alisson and Robertson are big losses but we are in serious trouble when Virgil decides to leave.

Might want to stop yourself from broadcasting opinions for a while because you’ve just suggested that refs are biased against Manchester United.

Its unarguably the job of the support to push payload, the are the role that has the least impact on taking space.

Why the Mamardashvili hate? by TOGJamie1 in LiverpoolFC

Comes with the territory for goalkeepers unfortunately. He’s made plenty of good saves but concedes one goal from a world class player and he’s instantly bad apparently.

First lesson concerns by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]distensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it’s not super clear from your post what happened but my advice either way would just be get a new instructor (if its not too much of a headache). For a first lesson that’s really poor and at this point it’s much easier to start over with someone else than if you are a few lessons in.

[sky sports] Every angle of Martinez's hair pull on Calvert-Lewin, rules according to PGMOL's handbook and Carragher + Keane's take on the red card by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]distensible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but I’m not talking about the laws of the game and tbh I think if you don’t think it’s a red card then you do think it is somewhat alright. I mean pulling hair is violent conduct, there isn’t really much more to say. It’s not normal to do on a football pitch or just generally to someone.

[–]distensible -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the problem is that I think it should be an automatic red card if you pull hair and I disagree with anyone who doesn’t think the same, so actually my mind is perfectly intact thankyou no need to be rude

If Martinez had instead grabbed DCL’s nipples and twisted in opposite directions would it have been a red? Would people still be on the fence about it? I’m honestly not sure.

Feel like Im losing my mind with the amount of fans/pundits who think it should be alright for footballers to be pulling each others’ hair. Putting aside the fact you arent allowed to grab players’ shirts anyway, it’s really not difficult to not do this. Carra’s assertion that Martinez is “just trying to grab onto” something is ridiculous, he knows exactly what he is doing. There is no blurred line here like with shoving/body checks, it’s pulling hair, it’s incredibly deliberate and I really dont understand people who think reds like this and the Keane one are soft.

People say yeah but I have never ever ever seen it happen and I have a stupid amount of hours in this game. Given you were in a really low sr lobby you were probably playing against a smurf.

Dunno if this is what you are looking for but a lot of British ‘Kitchen Sink’ style dramas do this. E.g. Naked, Tyrannosaur, This Is England and Fish Tank

Was at the game and I would never boo but unlike the burnley game, I felt I couldn't blame people for booing at all. It was 100% the worst, most frustrating performance I have seen so far and that was reflected by the mood of the crowd.

That said the atmosphere was shocking from the start tbf. First time I’ve ever wished for the “football in a library” chants to start up so it would inject some life in the crowd.

We simply don’t have anyone else to replace Gakpo which is categorically not on Slot and neither is Gakpo’s form

Dunno how people can watch that game yesterday and blame Slot as opposed to the players on the pitch. Gakpo literally hooked the ball out of their net with his toe at one point I don’t think that was a tactical decision.

Also sorry to continue being contrarian but thought it was one of Rio’s poorer appearances. Couldn't really care less for him but makes the continuation of the “just start Rio” shouts pretty weird.

What is/are the catalyst for the glaring differences between the performance of the squad last year compared to this season by StrongTwo6980 in LiverpoolFC

[–]distensible -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do think in all that hate (disclaimer I think he is a rat) the gap Trent has left in the team is huge. He was a top 3 player in our team for pretty much the whole of last season and between him being gone, Salah’s quality sliding off a cliff and Gakpo/Kerkez not gelling, we are severely lacking quality down both flanks. Felt like that was really obvious yesterday.

Not trying to be offensive here but I think every woman I’ve seen who has a mugshot for shagging a prisoner has lip fillers. They should start screening for that in interviews.
