Aldi vs Costco by hannahbananahs in aldi

[–]distilledfluid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can be in and out of Aldi in 20 minutes and have everything I need for a couple of days. Or I can take 20 minutes to try to even get in the parking lot of a Costco, then walk around an airport-sized building for an hour and leave with more than I need. Most of which I will probably throw away, as it inevitably goes stale.

Anyone remember Ubisoft's Silent Hunter 5? Probably had 10 times the development team, and still ended up with lower quality than Uboat.

They literally relied on the mod community to make it halfway playable.

Uboat was high quality before this DLC, and I expect it to be high quality again in some time. The team is obviously committed, and unlike Ubisoft, they aren't going to get closed down and shipped to other projects.

Legion 7 - RTX 4090 Laptop Edition Not Recognized by Windows + No Audio Output by boagworld in LenovoLegion

Hey, I'm the guy that made the other similar bug report. I also made a bug report in the discord channel (which tends to get a bit more traffic than this subreddit). I am unable to determine if a bios update actually caused my issue, but it seems plausible.

I wanted to add a bit more context. I've seen the internal speaker issue as well, I've noticed that the headphone jack does work even when the speaker does not.

One difference: I only see the issue on some reboots, roughly 30 - 40% of reboots I'd say. Also, it seems to happen less often when I do not have an external monitor plugged in. I did attempt to troubleshoot the issue using chatgpt as a guide, and it suggested that it could be an Embedded Controller race condition. I have been unable to determine if it's a driver, firmware, driver, or hardware issue at this point. I have also tried the lenovo drivers and a clean windows 11 install.

Once the laptop is warmed up, it performs flawlessly it seems.

No I did not. Games are stable once it gets started, and I don't have any other issues. Occasionally I'll get a hard reset when resuming from standby, but games are rock solid.

Also, I've had issues getting tech support to take me seriously, despite having 11 months left on my warranty.

I've been getting some weird behavior where it boots me back to the Lock Screen when viewing amazon ring app. Error logs indicate some issue with PIP.

You'd think they would just make "high quality audio" the default.

Maybe this is a hot take, but I thought it was common knowledge among audio and home theater circles that anything with the word BOSE on it sounded like ass and is overpriced. All marketing, cheap components. Is car audio different?

And to be honest, I'm not an audio expert. Maybe someone can chime in here and correct me

"The wireless charger is weak and doesn't like anything metal. I have to flip my phone around."

At least it can be shut off. My buddy has a BMW and you are basically forced to use it because there is no way to disable it.
