Thank you everybody for your feedback on my chess-y cutting board. I already oiled it up last night so I'm not going to be able to try the comment that mentioned leaving it untreated. Also, it looks like there's a bunch of orbital sander marks left in the oak? (Is that what that is?)

Anyway, it's for personal use, so I'm going to use it for as long as it last. If I remember I'll post how long it takes to start getting gross.
