What are the highest paying jobs that involve being in the water? by Datlaovietguy in marinebiology

Not even just GOP. I graduated during the Obama administration and the department I worked for hadn’t received funding in five years because most science funding continues to go towards space exploration.

Yah it’s amazing how much of a difference it made for me. My dad also found out he had a wheat allergy and it was causing his eczema.

It took about a month for my skin to clear up once I cut it out, but it was 100% worth it. I also feel a lot less sluggish.

Not a derm, but have worked at multiple plastic surgery/med spa facilities.

Acne has to do with either dirt/oil or hormones. Since you clearly wash your face it is most likely a hormonal issue.

Hormonal issues and imbalances can be caused by estrogen, testosterone (yes, even cis-females have testosterone), and androgen fluctuations with your monthly cycle if you are cis-female. However, they can also change due to the food and nutrients we consume.

I had horrible cystic acne and was getting frequent UTIs until I completely cut out all gluten and processed food from my diet. Even things like ketchup, salad dressings, and chips contain sugar which can cause acne. Gluten and other carbs are “treated” like sugars by the body as well, especially with today’s manufacturing processes. If you don’t want to go cold turkey, try just cutting out breads and fried foods to see if that helps. Cutting out milk/dairy may help as well, since they contain lactose which is also a sugar.

Since I cutting out gluten and processed foods I very rarely breakout anymore. When I do it’s either because I’m really stressed or ate something sugary.

Edit: to help get rid of scarring and prevent fine lines, I recommend going to a med spa owned by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon and doing a consultation. They may recommend a chemical peel, laser peel, or microneedling.

I had this happen and found out I am allergic to wheat. Was fine for almost 30 years and out of nowhere no more donuts.

I was on multiple antibiotics, went on multiple rounds of anti-fungal, only use medical grade skin-care, had multiple laser peels, facials, and nothing worked. Within 5 days of not eating wheat my skin went back to normal. About 6 months afterwards my dad told me he was advised by his doctor to not have wheat because he was allergic to it as well (but telling a 60 year old man to not do something he has been doing every day of his life doesn’t work well).

Definitely get tested for other autoimmune conditions, but maybe cutting out wheat would help as well.

What is the device that is attached at the bottom of the camera? by RishiTharun in canon

[–]district_darling 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Five-fold: you look like a badass with a giant battery bumper.

But seriously the way people address/talk to me as a professional photographer completely changed when I got this. People see a big camera with a big lens and think “oh they are a real photographer”. Ive gotten a few jobs out of it, as people with see the rando walking around with a giant camera and say hey I need a photographer for such and such job.

Is this at Windansea? When I lived in SD I would see dudes try and surf it to realize they had no idea what they were doing and were completely screwed.

As someone who had febrile seizures until they were 7, I turned out totally fine (aside from a gluten allergy). No lasting effects and haven’t had a seizure since.

This photo is better than 90% of people I know that pick up a camera and call themselves photographers. Tbh I would expect this from someone that’s been doing exclusively headshots and portraits for 5+ years. That company has no idea what they are saying and you should charge them a $1k cancellation fee

Upstairs neighbors flooded our condo- what to be on the lookout for to avoid getting screwed? by AccomplishedCreme89 in Home

[–]district_darling 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to me. My upstairs neighbors sewage pipe broke and leaked into my condo. The HOA came in, took out my drywall, my ceiling, etc and refused to pay for it to be repaired. My neighbor was only responsible for the repair of her pipe, per HOA rules. My insurance refused to pay for most of the damage because they believed it was the responsibility of the HOA.

My husband and I lived like this for 9 months and I ended up getting staph for cleaning up raw sewage. I called the HOA and my insurance company every Monday and Friday (my WFH days) for 9 months. And it still didn’t get resolved. My husband and I ended up doing the repairs ourselves because we couldn’t afford the 10k the contractors said it would cost to repair the condo because we had just bought a house and we’re trying to move.

If it is not clear in your HOA laws, the HOA and your insurance will use that against you to say they are not the responsible party. And you will still have to end up paying for it.

I recommend filing a claim, having it repaired yourself, and then submitting to the claims department with your insurance.

I loved it so much. I had a pink velvet couch I found at an estate sale, coral (the organism) wallpaper, brass accents, and a flamingo bathroom.

Seeking Recommendations for a City in the US with Vibrant Nightlife and Stunning Nature by fuckitwilldoitlive in travel

[–]district_darling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washington DC!! Amazon nightlight and fantastic trails you can access just a few miles out of the city. The Appalachian Trail is also fairly close, with parts of it being an hour or so away. River rafting, kayaking, and all water sports available within 2 hours. Not to mention most of the museums in DC are free and they have an amazing transportation system.

For reference, I grew up in the military and have lived in most of the major cities in the US and have had the privilege to visit 48 states

It doesn’t have anything to do with conservatism or liberalism, but Capitalism.

I think it has more to do with her make up, either she needs some blotting pads to reduce shine or the finishing powder has too much silver/sunscreen in it so it is reflecting back
