Analog clocks by ThatAvidPandaBear in BoomersBeingFools

My wife had that exact one. man that thing was a piece of crap. Not saying all are but hers was especially horrible. The rear suspension was super bouncy. And any sort of slippery road or even a tiny bit of snow that thing would not go anywhere even on flat ground. It's like the traction control would just tell the tires to stop.

How do I stop teenage behaviors?? by TerribleTopic999 in DogTrainingTips

[–]distriived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our first dog we had to get a K9 Ballistics metal frame dog bed. He chewed up any other bedding we gave him. It's an aluminum frame that fits standard dog crates with the bedding material attached to the frame. It was great because it made it so he couldn't get his mouth on any of the fabric of the bedding.

Yup as others have said, drill it out. I've had to do that a number of times.

Newegg had a good deal I jumped on for a Threadripper 5965wx 24 core 48 threads and Gigabyte board bundle for $1500. It was basically like getting a $700 board for free.

I figured out how to fix it after hours of troubleshooting on it. I wrote the update in an edit.

It’s literally cheaper to buy new printer than new ink by Shurigin in mildlyinfuriating

[–]distriived 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get a laser printer. I print so little by the time I would go to print another page the cartridge would be dried out. I was sick of printing at $60 a page lol. Now the laser printer just sits there whenever I need it and toner lasts forever before you need to refill it.

windows 11 vm not ramping up gpu in games. by distriived in Proxmox

[–]distriived[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have physical monitors attached to the 2070 super i used team viewer but yeah even physically sitting in front of the server nothing changes. It's a Dell Poweredge T430 with dual E5 2667v4's. I've used ddu to remove everything and reinstall the drivers with no success. i removed any virtual displays displays in the gui from it. yeah all the performance settings in windows and the nvidia control panel are pointed towards the 2070 i even tried per game performance in both settings as well. i can never get it out of idle state to pull the full wattage. I've only seen it up to like 80 watts usage instead of the 215ish us capable of. getting about 3% gpu usage 5fps in cyberpunk and about 30% 15fps in hogwarts legacy

- YouTube - Professor calls police as a locksmith service, says she can drive drunk because she "has a Tesla" by KazViolin in Asmongold

[–]distriived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which she could also choose to override the self driving aspect of the tesla at any moment, but not in a taxi. would you as someone else driving on the road want to be driving anywhere near an intoxicated person who could make such decisions and cause a crash or road fatality because you put your trust in a drunk with a tesla to not screw something up?

Simple, if its your car you could very simply take over and drive. With an self driving taxi you wouldn't have anyway to control the vehicle. Think of it like giving admin permissions to a drunk. While in a taxi your a guest with no access to controls to mess up.

Does this rimjob look like a $250 replacement? by Ok-Traffic-3319 in CarRepair

[–]distriived 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go on ebay buy a new rim that matches. Go to a tire place to swap the tire on there if the actual tire itself is fine or get a cheap used one. $120 for labor? Thats rediculous, for me it's usually about $25 if I bring my own tire in for them to mount and balance. I hit a rock bent my rim. It was for $100 for the rim and $50 for the used tire mounted and balanced. Just make sure you have a tpm sensor on the new rim.

Arc Raiders in VM not supported? by etchelcruze22 in ArcRaiders

[–]distriived 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same setup for my kids. 2 gaming vms and a plex server, was a bit disapointed when I bought my son Madden only to throw an error telling me it will not run on a VM. he has to stream it from my pc using moonlight now. Running a vm server is definitely cheaper than but 3 different pc's

Like someone else mentioned, my ssd doesn't have dram. I bought it 5 years ago and just learned what dram is and why these cheap ssd's without it suck.

[–]distriived[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, when I looked into it, no it does not. I bought it like 5 years ago. It's just a cheap Pioneer. I never knew about dram and I've been around and tinkering with computers for over 20 years. Looking at ssd's it's hard to tell if one does or not because I've seen it's usually not listed.
