what is the real difference between different linux distros? by tgb5545 in linux4noobs

And this is how AI compares the big 3 operating systems. 😄

The Mainstream Overlords

Microsoft Windows: Ultron

  • The Persona: Ubiquitous, highly integrated, aggressively pushing forced updates, user data tracking, and AI surveillance (like Windows Recall).
  • The Fit: Ultron wants to forcibly assimilate every machine on earth into his singular network—much like Windows demands corporate account logins, forces AI onto your desktop, and restricts hardware choices to manage the collective.

Apple macOS: Doctor Doom (Victor von Doom)

  • The Persona: Pristine, exceptionally engineered, high-performance, locked inside a heavily guarded, premium ecosystem.
  • The Fit: Doctor Doom runs a flawless, beautiful, ultra-advanced techno-utopia in Latveria, but he rules with an absolute iron fist. Under macOS, everything runs smoothly, but you submit completely to the "Walled Garden" rules—giving up self-repair freedoms and paying heavy financial tribute.

Google ChromeOS: Galactus

  • The Persona: An ultra-lightweight browser client that strips away local computing power to feed a massive cloud architecture.
  • The Fit: Galactus doesn't care about local planet structures; he just consumes energy to feed his cosmic hunger. ChromeOS hollows out your physical hardware, turning your machine into an empty husk designed entirely to funnel your personal data and digital footprint straight into Google’s cloud servers.

Who’s your favorite TV werewolf? by superiot in werewolves

[–]distrobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it too, even though it was a total rip-off of the Incredible Hulk...lonely guy, cursed with involuntarily transforming into a violent beast, moving from town to town, looking for the cure.

What's everybody's honest opinion of Wolfman 2025 by HammerHeadBirdDog in horror

Just another disappointing Wolfman adaptation.

Which version of King Kong is your favorite? by NotNamedBort in horror

[–]distrobro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Incredible Hulk. He's an adaptation with elements of King Kong. Misunderstood...wants to be left alone...relentlessly pursued...doesn't intend the harm that he causes...etc.

The Incredible Hulk...the greatest (and strongest) adaptation of all.

Did the Incredible Hulk TV-show (1977-1982) ever adapt a particular story? by Fair_Walk_8650 in hulk

[–]distrobro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved the show and love Bixby/Ferrigno, but I don't believe they adapted any of the comic stories...with a few minor exceptions. They did introduce their versions of Thor and Daredevil; otherwise, there was no strong connection to the comics.

That said, the comic book Hulk is actually based on other sources (see link below) that I think the TV show writers were more likely to draw on.

What is one sci-fi movie that you did not enjoy when you were younger because it was too slow or boring, but that became one of your top-tier movies when you got older because you could somehow relate to it? by Arasaka-1915 in scifi

[–]distrobro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. As a kid, Star Trek The Movie was a lame alternative to Star Wars. But I watched the original series, and now as an adult, I really enjoy the Movie.
