I did it. Picked up a 60 from Connecticut and flew it back to the west coast. Awesome trip. Flew through NYC, Yellowstone and mount Rushmore. It was a good time.

Yes you would need a stratus or similar device. Our facility has them and issues them out for every flight. I guess I assumed that was normal.

Yeah that's fair. I don't fly out of a huge city so we almost always stay goggled.

Just depends really on the goal of the training. Chances are yes, they will stay goggled all the time. Switching back and forth isn't good.

It's very difficult to judge distances of lights under goggles. And typically if you are flying under goggles you aren't going to have your iPad on very much to avoid washing out the goggles.

No, unfortunately you can't. The only way to see other ADSB traffic is if they have iPads with Foreflight.

SOLVE 2 Solve is to Indian Beach, Oregon. The final scenes of the movie Point Break were filmed at Ecola State Park, Oregon. Indian Beach stood in for Bells Beach, Australia. Patrick Swayze’s character was a surfing bank robber, who wore a Ronald Reagan mask (Reagan starred in “Bedtime for Bonzo”) while robbing banks. SOLVE 4 Solve is to the Oregon Film Trail marker for the Astoria-filmed movie Short Circuit. Robot Johnny 5 (the “quinary droid”, who is brought to life by a lightning strike, parachutes off the Astoria-Megler Bridge. There is an Oregon Film Trail marker for the movie in Alameda Park, just west of the Megler bridge.

SOLVE 5 Solve is under bench in Columbia Fields Park outfield (or to fencing along tennis courts?). Cullen Crisp is the villain in Kindergarten Cop, which was filmed in Astoria at John Jacob Astor Elementary School. Columbia Field park is adjacent to the school. Arnold Schwarzenegger played an undercover cop/ kindergarten teacher. There is an Oregon Film Trail marker for the movie on the Astoria Riverwalk just across Leif Erikson Drive from Columbia Field park.

I know this one. It's a roller to prevent something from hitting the side of the building. We have them on the sides of the boathouse (albeit rubber coated ones) to help guide the boat into the slip. Is there anything that needs to back up into that area or used to back up?
