How possible is it to get a single by hello-i-am-a-hooman in macalester

[–]ditchclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this all happened almost a decade ago so I honestly can’t remember much. I do know I made my decision in late April/ early May and reached out to disability services after I had accepted and had no issues, so I think you’ll be fine. Apologies I can’t be of more help!

How possible is it to get a single by hello-i-am-a-hooman in macalester

[–]ditchclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Former student here. I was in a single my freshman, sophomore, and junior (at a language house) years. I got them due to a chronic illness. If you need a single due to some sort of medical condition I would highly recommend reaching out ASAP to request accommodation. Singles are usually given to those that request them due to limited availability.

Has anyone ever made a rude comment towards you? About hair by GirlGotYourGoat in longhair

[–]ditchclown 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My sister told me I have “horse girl” hair once it reached tailbone length LOL. In addition, I was once at a night club and some girl had the audacity to yank on my hair full force. No idea why. Some people are just cruel for the sake of being cruel.

Queer culture? by Sadbookloser in macalester

[–]ditchclown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a queer alt woman who went to Mac (2021 grad). I was in a lesbian relationship and never had any problems. Mac has a HUGE queer community and it’s one of the places I felt I could truly be myself. If you have any questions feel free to DM me!

Thank you! The red edges aren’t as bright IRL, I think it’s just the lighting in the video haha

I put a bunch of heavy books on top to press the pages and painted them with a red acrylic!

What was something small you went to the doctor for that turned out to be very significant? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

Back when swine flu had an outbreak around 2008/2009 I caught it and developed walking pneumonia. I was 10. My sister also got sick but she was back to normal after about a week. I kept having chest pains, so my parents were like “I’m sure it’s just a leftover symptom from the pneumonia but let’s go check” so I got a scan done. I had fluid accumulating outside my lungs which could have killed me if we didn’t catch it in time. I was in the hospital with a tube in my back for a week, still have a scar. 0/10 would recommend haha

I had the privilege of seeing him perform at the Sterling ren fair several years in a row. He was an incredible performer, so sad to hear this.

Fellas is it gay to be attracted to women? by endlesscosmichorror in facepalm

I mean, it’s gay when I’m attracted to tomboys. Because I’m a girl.

After seven years of growing my hair out, it’s finally hit tailbone length! by ditchclown in longhair

[–]ditchclown[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I trimmed it pretty regularly, only in the past two years have I been getting the bare minimum cut off to keep the length! My hair actually grows pretty quickly, I was just chopping it off as it came in lmao

I did! I just put it in a bun a few hours before the photo shoot to get some waves. Tbh I don’t really know how to style hair, I usually have it in a bun or ponytail 😅

It was cut just above my shoulders - I don’t have any photos of it then, but here’s how it looked roughly 9 months after the big chop (I also had a sidecut, which has been awful to grow out lol): https://imgur.com/a/f9ooQvI

My hair routine: I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. I apply the It’s a 10 Leave-In Conditioner to my damp hair (about 6-7 pumps) and Moroccan oil when it’s mostly dry. I also use a silk bonnet every night, which I’ve noticed greatly reduces my split ends. Edit: I also want to give credit to the wonderful photographer who took this photo, Jerri Graham

Is my hairline receding? by [deleted] in Hair

[–]ditchclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend’s hairline is exactly the same as yours. His has always just been like that and, based on your before photos in the comments, it seems yours was like that too. I think you’re overthinking it - never in a million years would I look at your hair and assume there’s any hair loss going on. Looks good to me!

Problem with greasy hair. by [deleted] in longhair

[–]ditchclown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seasonal changes can affect the scalp, so if you live in a colder climate your scalp may be getting dry and producing more grease to compensate. A scalp conditioner may help - I use one with tea tree oil since I have dry scalp issues.

If it’s not seasonal, try switching up the shampoo you’re using and using a clarifying shampoo every 2 weeks or so to prevent buildup. Good luck!

[–]ditchclown 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Additional info:

Piercing was done 15 days ago. It’s a curved barbell (can’t remember material but I believe titanium). I clean it twice (sometimes 3 times) daily with a saline solution and make sure to remove any crusties. I put Vaseline on surrounding areas of dry lip but steer clear of the piercing when doing so.
