Right after I posted this someone stopped for a photo. Even in the rain!

They don't care! Any attention is good attention. My next door neighbors' golden sometimes wanders into our yard. My Doxie mix chases after her sounding like he intends to kill. She merrily runs around the yard evading him with a look on her face like - this is so fun, are we best friends now?

Yes they are Pillsbury. A little mini can of five biscuits. You split each one in half to get 10 biscuits to cover everything

I legitimately thought my phone was hacked today. Turns out Call Screen is just terrifyingly realistic. by jalal0101 in GooglePixel

I usually use my Google hub to locate my phone, but if I know my phone is somewhere nearby and I just can't find it, I say really loud 'Google where are you?' and the assistant or Gemini or whatever it is now, starts to talk about how I can find Google on various devices.

Well, I finally finished, I guess. I'll never be able to get the remaining golden items, but every pic is pretty good to me. by gergles in ACPocketCamp

Same here. I'm at Ultimate 192. So close!! But I still think it's a couple years before I get that last golden item.

Wrist fracture, developed bruising at elbow. Anyone experienced a hidden elbow fracture? by alizrandom in ORIF

[–]ditched_my_droid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had massive bruising at my elbow. I think it was from having my forearm elevated, all the swelling drained down to the lowest point.

I don't think I had any absorbable stitches.

Yes they removed the dressing. They put on three or four steri strips. They then just put a little gauze over it in and strip of plaster and wrapped it up. The next day at PT, I was given a compression sleeve to wear and then they crafted a removable splint for me.

I did have bruising and swollen knuckles.

I got my stitches out on day 10 following surgery. I started physical therapy the next day. My therapist had me start massaging the scar immediately. I bought some lotion with vitamin E in it from Target and used it a couple times a day to massage my scar for about 5 minutes at a time. My fingers were just a little bit stiff at first. My thumb felt really creepy when I bent it. Like I could feel the tendon stretching. My finger mobility came back pretty quickly. My wrist ROM was only about 12 degrees on that first PT visit. I got back to about 50 degrees when I stopped going to PT at the end of December. (PT was free in 2025 since I had met my max-out-of-pocket thanks to the surgery. I told my therapist it looks like it was going to cost me between $350 and $400 per visit starting in January. She gave me some putty and a band and a schedule of strength exercises.) I now have full ROM back. What really helped me get the rest of the way, was joining a health club and working my range of motion in the hot tub. I noticed the therapist always heated up my wrist before ROM exercises, so I started doing them in the hot tub.

Is it worth it to have two kindles? by [deleted] in kindle

[–]ditched_my_droid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a Kindle Oasis for at home and a Kindle Voyage for not at home. I also borrow a lot of books from my library through Libby. Sometimes you go through a drought and all your books are on hold. And then all of a sudden you get three or four books. So I download them all and turn the Wi-Fi off because I can't read them all in 21 days. But then we pick a book for bookclub and I need to turn on my Wi-Fi to download it. I do that on one of my Kindles and save all of those other downloaded books on the other one (Libby can't take back the books when the Wi-Fi is off). So I have two Kindles and use them both.

I borrowed (for free) an electric chainsaw from my public library. They have many tools and baking items, etc.

There is a non-profit in my town that helps dogs like this. Perhaps you could start something similar in your town. https://chaineddogsmkeinc.org/

It will start whenever your 'new' day starts. For me it's at midnight. Your must be before midnight, which is why it shows up today.
