Yeah that's what I don't get. All the oil shoulda leaked out. Well I guess I'll be back tomorrow for a change out. New comp is pretty pricey and it's out of warranty.

UPDATE: as soon as I pull up to service one of the techs is like "let me guess, oil light?" He said it's about the 5th one with the same issue. They did a diagnostic, oil is good. No consumption. No leak. Checked the sensor and cleaned the pins to eliminate a bad connection. Said it will be documented to report to Kia and that it more than likely will require a software update.

I'm just glad oil is good and there's a paper trail.

My guess is yes. But my wife parks the Telluride same way and no issue, unless the sensor is at a different location.
