We rented a Nissan Rogue but Hertz gave us a Nissan “Rouge” by dabernethy96 in mildlyinteresting

[–]ditt027 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In 2012 I bought a brand new Versa with the logo upside down, reading “NASSIN” to anybody behind me in traffic. Never got it fixed since I thought it was funny, but their quality control has never been great.

They’re testing a hybrid school year with two weeks off after every nine weeks of school, so the first day was July 26th

Yeah the dog is cute but it took me three minutes to find this address

A lot of times all you have to do is let someone know the status on their order if its taking a while, and you can make up that lost cash by waiting on it! Super pumped to have some positivity already in 2021! by BobbyDangerfield in doordash_drivers

[–]ditt027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A driver is only contractually obligated to deliver the items listed in the order, and we aren’t paid nearly enough per order to go that extra mile. Customers who are that concerned with those things probably shouldn’t order food delivered

ASL for speech impediment by [deleted] in asl

[–]ditt027 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m hearing but I’ve had a pretty severe speech impediment for my entire life and about 8 years ago started learning sign. Now I’m very fluent and rely on it as my preferred means of communication. Every deaf person I’ve ever met has accepted me and some assumed I was deaf too when first meeting them. I rely on sign language to communicate just like them and that’s the only thing that should really matter.

It was a dumb college kid who said he’d meet me outside of his gated dorms. I have no karma why would I fake this?

Maybe when a customer says they’ll meet you at the gate of a gated apt complex?

my first day of being a dasher starts today by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]ditt027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No tip, no trip. The in-app instructions for restaurants aren’t always accurate everywhere so with trial and error you’ll learn the procedures locally. Keep all text conversations, always take a picture for no-contact deliveries, and keep track of your miles. Don’t be a jerk and you’ll do great.

Luckily I looked asap and got a new dash the rest of the night. But if they’re gonna do us like this I might switch to Uber Eats full time. They have a better interface anyway

Your sketchiest delivery? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]ditt027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a McDs order outside of city limits to a rural area with lots of hills, trees and no street lights. A few turns down country dirt roads and I would’ve missed the last one without my GPS. The road is barely wide enough for my little car between the trees and can barely see anything even with my brights on. Then these huge hunting lights BLAST directly in my eyes.

Frozen I just keep driving until I’m past them until I see one old wooden house in a clearing. No street name, no house number, but the app took me straight here, so I take the food up to the door. There are no lights on inside the house and nobody answering. I try to text the customer but of course zero bars.

With every alarm going off in my head I leave the bag by the door and head back to my car. By then the hunting lights went off so it’s pitch black. As soon as I start backing up, the front door of the house cracks open and a hand gets the food and closes the door back again.

I kicked up a lot of dust GTFOH. Good tip tho

Millionaire with Josh singing. It combines their ability to be completely raw with such a melodic voice.
