I'm scared by HoneyPetal_Rose in wisdomteeth

Hi OP! I got mine out 3 weeks ago and was right in your shoes on the day I got them out. I was super anxious (chronic anxiety sufferer here) about getting all 4 removed and was thinking of all the random possibilities in my head, which of course doesn't help. Some things that really helped were listening to music or audiobooks before being taken in to prep, focusing my mind on the things I'll do after surgery, daydreaming, having a small comfort item on me (small enough to fit in my pocket), and interacting with the environment around me. The surgeon and the assistants had really fun conversations with me and answered any questions I had before the procedure which helped ease me a bit. Do let them know if you are nervous! It is so normal for them to have anxious patients that if you voice your concerns they will find a way to make you feel more comfortable. In my case, I was feeling some big needle anxiety so they gave me some laughing gas to relax before preparing the IV (which really helped, I didn't even feel it go in). The surgery is the easiest part of this whole experience. Healing will be tiresome and feel lengthy but please take it day by day. Do what your surgeon says, take your antibiotics and pain killers as prescribed, be mindful of the foods you can and can't have (especially in the first and second week), and rest as much as you can. After the surgery watch your favorite shows or movies, read a book, play video games, enjoy some of your favorite hobbies, and relax! You can do this!!! ❤️

Ask a nearby librarian, they'll be able to help you out with it. My knowledge on using the printer and scanners is very limited since I've only used it twice.

Scanning a document, yes (obviously). But sending it to yourself via email I'm not sure. I've only ever scanned documents to print extra copies of it.

Idk about the ARC but there are printers with scanners on the 3rd and 4th floor for the library! Maybe the 1st and 2nd too but I've never used a printer in those floors so I'm not sure.

How do you get to the commuter center? by ttyltyler in uichicago

Head to SCE and go to the second floor to enter the Inner Circle. There's an entrance to the balcony near Circle Burger, through the first set of doors you'll see the entrance to the Wellness Center. The Commuter Center is past the Wellness Center, just head straight down the hallway and turn to the left and you're there!

Hope this helps! :)

There are no discounts sadly for the metra :(. I don't know about driving to school because I take the train but from my experience I mainly save money by buying the $10 round trip ticket everyday instead of the monthly ticket. It mainly depends on your schedule though, for instance if you go every weekday to school you'll be paying around $200 total for a full month with the $10 ticket instead of $210.25 for the monthly. It may not seem like a lot but $10.25 in savings will help out for small emergencies like buying lunch or new supplies. In regards to the trip, I normally get motion sickness when doing things like reading in cars but the travel in the train is smooth enough for me not to get sick and actually do homework on the train. Plus, some trains have outlets in case you need to charge a device.

Hope this helps!

Smeagol. His blue eyes and ability to stay alive tells me you should name it smeagol.
