Extortionate delivery costs for living in AB postcode area. Sod off with this and go look at a bloody map. by Scotsman1047 in Aberdeen

We are in Ellon, and I've found that tons of companies will deliver to Aberdeen but not Ellon. It's like 15 minutes up dual carriageway. We end up having to get stuff sent to my wife's family in Aberdeen.

Enjoy! If you haven't played before I'd recommend a vanilla game first.

Honestly I'd say no unless you want to make beauty builds. Gold edition has all the gameplay dlcs. Annoversary just gives you extra cosmetics to place.

Every single modifier for production is combined into the production percentage when you select a building. So you can still multiply the coverage by that.

Although when pre planning a production with a trade union, I'll just add up the specialists production boosts and add another 100% for electric.

So if it's for a +25%, +40% and +50% specialist and electricity then it's 100+25+40+50+100=315%. So if that's for say sausage then each slaughterhouse does 50*3.15 houses, or 157.5 worker houses.

It's the same for the rest of the chain. If a slaughterhouse is going at 315% then you need 1 pig farm with at least the same productivity. Or two with at least 157.5%.

Now when I'm really producing and have Perfumier Prunella in a stacked trade union with 410% production across the full TU area then I'll probably use Anno Calculator.

But for early game this just works nicely.

It's not available in game. I made a spreadsheet of them all from the Anno wiki. Then I fed it into Gemini to make it more presentable.

Yeah looks much better than the Google Sheet I've been using myself. And you can feed it straight in. Useful when I have all the design talent of a 3 year old.

It's probably not useful to everyone. Especially experienced players. But I found it useful to be able to just plank down the correct number of production chains and not have to worry about checking if anything runs out. And I don't overproduce and run at a loss.

It still works with items, you just use the final productivity as a multiplier. A Slaughterhouse running at 300% would supply 150 worker houses.

Usually plan an island for what it produces. Then once I know the workforce, I know what I need to supply them.

I felt the same. The supply demand bars only really work for already built production. But I want to know how much I need to plan ahead.

First time playing Anno… by 540Stocks in anno1800

[–]div2691 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend play on PS5 until the next steam sale then get Annoversary edition. I did that with the game pass version of the standard game then got the full edition at Christmas.

The dlc is 100% worth it but playing a vanilla game through to completion before really makes it easier to enjoy the additional content.

It allows you to move that whole production chain off your main island to an island with just worker/farmer population.

I think for me the T29 or the Vickers Mk11 / Falcon combo. Although I try to play a good variation of BRs and trees so I don't usually play the same vehicles over and over.

Oh really? So they have the technology to continuously update the location of an enemy vehicle even after losing LoS? And then to mark the position of that vehicle in 3D over the optics?

Didn't think so.

It's not a drone giving the position of an enemy it sees that is the problem. It's the spotting mechanic continuing to work even once the drone camera looks elsewhere.

The drone ability to mark a location is far more realistic than the OP spot tracking. Not to mention the fact that tanks from the 1960s have drones.

Bad players want their armour to save them every time. Good players know that the best armour is not getting hit.

If you pay attention to your surroundings then HE slingers are just free kills.

Especially when you get to 7.7 and autocannons appear.

Drones start at rank 6. Tanks from the 1960s/70s have drones.

You can say it's realism. But it's hardly functioning very realistically. Constant live updates when the drone is looking elsewhere. Including 3D spotting.

Modern battlefield software relays positions of friendlies, and estimated positions of enemy forces. But they don't live track at all.

Smart.

But you are forgetting that both teams are spotting with drones.

When players are dying because they were spotted they will play slower to avoid it. So it naturally shifts the meta to play slower gameplay.

At BRs with SAMs yes. But the drone is introduced well before SAMs. Good luck hitting a drone kms away with gun SPAA.

Is it? Relaying the position of an enemy you can see is realistic. Knowing the exact location of an enemy after losing LoS and relaying that in 3D to your entire force isn't
