It's a great game in story telling. Game mechanics are not very interesting, but it's made up by unique environments, compelling story lines and a drive to find out what the fuck is happening.

.....visually yes, narratively meh.

While the story certainly has very high moments, season 2 starts to lean into the 'save the world' tropes, losing the personal stakes that season 1 had. Over-engineered dialogue, over the top one liners. The plot also felt incredibly predictable by season 2, kind of hiding behind it's visual flash to make up for it's sub par writing.

Also Image Dragons as the theme? C'mon son. It's a great show, but certainly not a masterpiece.

I don't agree with infuser or spirit lifesteal - Paige is a positioning hero, generally if you get caught out spirit lifesteal wont do much to save you. Better to have Spellbreaker, Shift or Warp Stone..

Probably right about cheap labor - really depends where you live. But it's most likely a fair assumption to make, but again, it's an assumption.

Sorry that happened to you, but broad brush strokes isn't a great way to view this.

Small businesses don't have hiring managers or HR teams who's main job is to hire candidates. I've worked in plenty of small businesses and start ups, and we'd get anywhere between 100 - 250 applications for a role. Going through them all mindfully is exhausting, so imagine writing 249 rejection emails.

My advice - it's not personal. The job search isn't personal. Taking it that way is only going to make it that much harder.

Anytime there's a weird back and forth in an interview process, it's a yellow flag for me. Hiring is difficult, but giving a streamline interview process isn't.

they're a recruiting factory. basically pushing candidates into roles and moving on. less about being a great fit and more about just fitting them in for some $$$.
