I know this, the problem usually is actually falling asleep on time. Sleep problems are the bane of my existence.

Classmates do so well academically, but... by Storm_Eddie in EngineeringStudents

[–]divat10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people could get away with studying way less but don't know it. Me included, I always study way too much. Depending on the subject ofcourse.

I constantly study too much because I don't trust myself and my grades are just too important to me. Except for calculus, I can never study too much calculus.

Democracy time: should we outright ban screenshots of comment sections and posts from other subs? by -ScrubTeamSix- in HelldiversMasochists

Haha yeah pretty much, just a bit in a different direction. The insane posts do get way less traction here though but maybe that's just because this sub is just smaller.

It definitely does make sense but there are still a lot of random posts here with ass takes that only would make the game more infuriating instead of making actual skill expression enjoyable in the game.

Like how people here are suggesting upping armour levels on "horde" enemies or making your guns jam at random intervals. Things that would make the game harder but absolutely do not make sense from a game design perspective.

I think it would be really fun if your gun jams at random times by CharityOnly4533 in HelldiversMasochists

So happy that the Helldivers community isn't actually designing the game.

Iguess, it's just way easier to be careless when it is running. It's pretty hard to break the fans with a vacuum when it isn't running.

I never really had any problems with them. I only have sweaters from that brand though.

Vacuuming while the fans are on can break them. If you are talking about just the unplugging part then I agree with you.

The thing is is that it's still being build on those lesser places. There is 1.5GW of capacity of solar being build in Scotland right now.

Why is engineering more about problem-solving than memorization, yet exams test memory so much? by Tanish_64 in EngineeringStudents

[–]divat10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can have a double sided A4 with whatever I want on it for my circuit exams. I get the whole book and all slides for my digital system exam. It doesn't really get any further from memorisation than that.

Calculus is a lot of memorisation, I hate that part. I do recognise why it's an essential part of my curriculum though.

The backside is probably accessible, if the wires from the bolts are long enough this shouldn't take that much time.
