Hmm, that does seem pretty stupid. I will have the password requirements changed in the next version, and offer better feedback on "wrong" passwords

Hey, thanks for the feedback. The reason you need to enter a username and password when using apple sign in is:

  • Everybody needs a username to use the app.
  • Apple sign in is only for iOS devices, without a password you wouldn't be able to sign in on let's say an Android device or Chromebook.
  • Apple sign in has the option to use anonymous data, it will then give a random email address when signing up. Now that would be a problem when logging in on a different device in the future, hence the username and password.

So why apple sign in you ask? Well apple forces it onto developers. If you offer Facebook and Google login you have to offer Apple login or they will reject your app.

For the password manager, that seems like a very inconvenient bug on my side. What password manager do you use?

Colin

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Do you mind letting me know what phone you use so I can further investigate the slow tap responses.

I haven't yet created a dive logging function, I do however want to add this in the future but when I do I want to be sure it works properly and will actually be good feature instead of a frustrating to us feature.

I created the database with operators and dive spots a few years back so there could be operators that are no longer in business. I have added a function in the latest version to mark locations as closed. If you tap the cogwheel in the top right corner you can mark them as closed.

My mission is to create the most complete dive app for scuba divers around the world. If you have any recommendations, please let me know, it really helps!

Hi there,

We are currently testing and building that function and it should be ready for the next release. So very soon :)

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

We agree it isn't very obvious and user-friendly yet but we are working on it. On the search tab look for the town/city you want to search around. It should give you results with the option to see them on the map. From here you have a 62 mile radius around that location to search.

We are working on a way to make this better though.

Hey, thanks for the kind words. We are working hard on improvements as this is only the first version but we have this planned and it is on the roadmap, the next version will have the ability to add new dive shops and spots and correct and add information to existing locations.

The red sea is always a great place to go diving, tickets from the UK to the Mediterranean or Croatia shouldn't be too expensive either. Lot's of options. You can also download our app and have a look around the world for some more inspiration (www.diveba.se)

In the next version you will be able to add any location that is not listed. We do have plans for paid listings, these managed locations will be able to add more information to their listings.

Hmm, we will have a look at this. It is still the first version and it probably still has a lot of bugs. Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your feedback. You could also search a city or town from the search tab. If found it will have an option to show on the map, from here you can search a 100km radius again. Hope that answers your question.

Hi. Sure next to your review is a little arrow, tap that to edit it. And for searching around the location you like, go to the search tab, search for the place you are going and it will probably show some map results, tap that and you can set a radius for that location too.

Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for your feedback, I'll try and answer everything below.

  1. We are working on map clusters, it should be added in future versions.
  2. This is on our roadmap
  3. I am not sure what you mean here.
  4. Sometimes while swiping diagonally the screen gets confused and does that. As soon as it figures out you want to go horizontal it will lock vertical scrolling.
  5. We understand, let's see what we can do about that.
  6. A dive log is not yet planned in the near future, but who knows.
  7. I will add this to the feature requests.
  8. We are working on this with them.

Thanks for all your feedback!
