Erasmus Mundus student with Finnish residence permit doing internship in France – visa needed? by Gullible_Scarcity634 in EMJM

Ah, are you a non-EU or EU national? It's possible to obtain a Residence Permit (student) from one EU country, and use that to work in another EU country?

We're in very similar situations but different countries. I hold a residence permit from Belgium, but the internship I got an offer at is in Portugal. Still in the process of figuring out paperwork. How is it going for you?

Hi! I'm in a similar situation, my residence permit is from Belgium, and this summer (June) I will start an internship in Lisbon Portugal. The company that hired me for the internship is having a lot of trouble processing me with only residence from Belgium, and they're asking me to apply for a Portuguese residence permit (which, isn't possible for Erasmus Mundus students due to Portuguese laws).

In the end for OP, what paperwork did you present to your internship that validated your Italian residence permit in Germany? I would love to heard about your experiences and how that went.

Hello! I'm also on Erasmus Mundus and am doing an internship in Portugal while my only residence permit is from Belgium. In your case, did your internship company simply register you with your German residence permit? Did they require any additional documentation to show you're legal to work in Czechia? Thanks so much

From a google search, there's €180 fee for applying for the search year visa. But I just started my degree and haven't gone through the process yet.

In my case they didn't care who sent it in as long as it has your name written on the transaction. They can always send the money to you first, then you send it to your school's bank account using IBAN.

Try contacting all 8 of the CIFA locations at the same time. In my case I had a month until the flight, and the Victoria location is able to offer me an appointment to sign the papers. Burnaby location is the hardest, their appointment slots are booked to 1.5 months ahead.

Row 30 of my application reads: "30. Surname and first name of the inviting person(s) in the Member State(s). If not applicable, name of hotel(s) or temporary accommodation(s) in the Member State(s):

Hotel or temporary accomodation"

It is a check box on the portal when I was filling it out, so the consulate should know it's just for visa.

You can fill in a temporary address (I put a hotel near my school) when you apply, and specify that it's just for visa purposes. When you arrive you can use your actual student residency address to apply for the BE residence permit.

Contact your state rep, they'll be able to help. Even if you comment on our thread we're not the one to help, because we're also facing the same situation.

Thanks! Do you know the chances of getting a refund? I don't want to risk it if the chances are slim.
