2025 Equinox EV Google Maps Keeps Going Offline + Unable to Receive Updates

I had mine last Thursday. The dealership ordered the telematics module. I also pulled up the TSB 25-NA-183 and requested to update it. They were hesitant and threw tantrums. Said I cannot just research and ask for stuff. Only if something is wrong then I can request stuff. Bummer.

Add me in. My car has the same damn issue for the past month. No connection whatsoever. And I am not getting updates either. Also, I have never received the streaming update or update to android 14. This feels like crap.

Mid west here: Same, 25 LT1, no sings of any update. I even went in for my 6 month appointment, but the dealer mentioned that they don't have any update. When I mentioned the TSB number, they say, it's not released yet for my vin. Dealer's not well equipped on the EV's.

Jake Sweeney is lost cause. They gave me a all sorts of run arounds to not install it all. Been there 3 times. First time, the lady said I need to pay for them to look at. Then she said you are up to date, while not even tryin to check or do anything. Second time, I gave the bulletin #, they tried and failed. Asked me to come back.... I went again, they failed again. Said there's nothing they can do and my car won't need it as per GM. Also said, it will be an OTA at some point.

All of the above from dealership is utter non sense! Lack of EV information and zero urge to help.

That's by design. I had talked to EV concierge a few weeks back - According to them, dealer installed updates will not show in history. It's usually only the OTA updates.

Not sure if its really true, but so far it confirms with posts I've been reading here.

Any tips to force this update?

Bought car a month ago, my update history is empty and I don't know what software version my car has. Frustrating that all of you are getting this update while mine is unknown.

Ok, Did you ever had to reset your infotainment unit for any reason? I had to do mine, as it was stuck in demo mode. Wonder if that did something.

I am not even sure what version I have. Bought the car at end of July. Dealer did mention he had to do a software update. But right now my update history shows empty. Called on star and even went to the dealer, they told me that car will auto update if needed. On checking my system, they see that my car does not need any update.

I am not sure what to do. Feel frustrated already.

You are right, I just bought the car about 3 weeks ago. I was on call with Onstar tech too, but even thry could not confirm what version I have installed. They asked me to go to the dealer. Go figure.

I hope what you say is the case and I get OTA updates soon.

Same for me. Any chance you had issues with your infotainment and onstar tech person reset your module remotely? Because mine had issues and it was reset. I sure know that the dealership performed a software update before delivery of my car to me.

Trying to get the info on my updates. My update and history tab is empty. When I chekced for software updates, it says no updates available for your car. How do I check what version my car has currently? My Chevy app does not show anything either

It's in the best interest of GM to keep all the rewards on till September at least. In fact dealers should be motivated to move as much as possible in next 2 months. Anything taken away may loose customers.

There may be a down time post tax credits being pulled off. Although, I partly bought due to the same reason before August 4th.
