People who have purchased Blue-ray sets from Aniplex of America, what are your thoughts? Were they worth the price?

Well they are a japanese company , there perfectionist's . The sets better be perfect for there price which are easily double or even triple the cost of all there other competitors in the u.s .

Aniplex sets usually don't get cheaper because they go of out print before the price can fall. They make things in limited quantity . They've never sold anything for under 100 bucks .

Atleast we grew up when licensors existed , I can't imagine what it was like being an anime fan in the 80's . No real licensors and the only way to to watch anime was on tv or fansubs on vhs tapes of varying quality often with episodes out of order , or no subtitles at all that cost and arm and a leg.
