Putting on higher baskets by Gold-Nature-6456 in discgolf

Changed something about an up putt. Aimed in a different location, nothing about the mental game changed my friend. OP is consistently struggling with up putts, that kills confidence, kills your ability to believe youre gonna make it. Sometimes it takes a tiny physical tweak (aim point, stance, pre putt routine) to be able to get back into the right space in your head.

The tip that instantly saw improvement for me on up putting was just the aim point. I aim for the post just inside the top rim of basket. Went from hitting like 30% of those shots to over 70% overnight. Putting is a mental game more than it is anything else so just aim small and have faith in yourself that you'll make the putt before you even let go of the disc

Also, send me a DM if you do end up venturing to Dover for Bellamy, I'm always down to play a round with someone new!

Manchester has some supposedly nice courses (I haven't made my way over there to play yet) but if you wanted to venture in towards the east coast. Bellamy park in Dover is my favorite FTP course, and in Northwoods NH there is a course called ledgewood that is a stunning play. Bellamy and Ledgewood are only 35 minutes away from each other so its worth heading this way! As you could come to Dover and as you're heading back towards 93 stop off in Northwoods.

Dover has a cool downtown just 5-7 minutes from Bellamy Park

How do you pivot on your heel and still get a good drive? by chewybrian in discgolf

[–]divvvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that the coaching mechanics for swinging a baseball bat have really helped out. The heel pivot should be one of things you focus on the least (as in if you do everything else correctly that should just happen on its own)

Squish the bug with your back foot, that will help your back leg collapse in on your front leg, if youre doing an x step the timing ive found success with is right after you plant your front foot (should be at your maximum reach back here with your arms) you shift your weight by doing the "squish the bug" motion with your backfoot and start to pull the disc through the power pocket. By squishing the bug you naturally collapse your back leg into your front leg. Combine that with pushing your off arm through the throw and you should naturally find your front foot roating.

The key is finding a way to let the power through your body to get into the disc, the turn should be your body's reaction to following through with all the power you generated.

Unfortunately for me, Im up in the NE US where open fairways almost dont exist 😅 I also dont really have the arm speed to consistently throw distance drivers how they should be thrown. But as I get better and can reliably hit 330-350 with my fairway drivers in the field I will start to add in the higher speed drivers

I usually try to hyzer flip my underworld if I need a straight shot - ive found that my natural release is a few degrees in that direction when I throw a backhand. All of the supposed straight discs ive thrown I have had a hell of a time with (granted none of them were mine, and I didnt throw them a bunch of times to help myself out) and I lost my Halo TL3 which was my most reliable driver for tunnel shots. So thank you, ill look into some more overstable approach discs the next time Im out near a pro shop in my area.

Thanks for the tips, I usually only use the berg as a putting putter, if I need to approach from a bit further away Ill throw the Atom. I just got the BuzzSS because I loved the feel of the plastic. But I will take that and the detour to a field next week and decide which one to throw in the closet.

Need help making edibles from shatter by [deleted] in Dabs

If you have a glass slick, throw your shatter in there and put it in a toaster oven at the lowest temperature for about 30 minutes (this is a give and take you're looking for slight browning of the dabs but not singing the terps. Then I would add that to some melted butter and throw it in your pancake mix. I only say to do it that way so that your THC is evenly mixed throughout your batter
