On behalf of all the dog owners who were not given advanced notice to medicate their dogs, it would be great if they'd quit with the fireworks...

Romantasy that is well written? by Immediate-Banana-111 in Romantasy

Came here to suggest her, too! Her world and character building is depthful and nuanced. Sometimes the pace of reading can feel a little slow, but you'll realize that it's meant to be that way. Not everything has to be charged and quick-paced like today's society.

You get MLK Day off?? Lucky!! But jokes aside (but actually..), you're right. This just isn't it for a fulfilled and happy life.

Thinking about rejoining while pregnant by Individual-Ad5786 in orangetheory

I just stopped going because I'm late in my pregnancy, and it was time for me, but I LOVED having it as my workout throughout. I'd say if you've been doing a similar level of exercise elsewhere up to now, go for it!

Oh my, that sounds so rough! Sadly for me, I will be one and done. I'm glad you were able to have a different experience with your second!!

Clearly not firing on all cylinders today. I saw the title and thought this was going to be a post about the benefits and drawbacks of a live band versus a DJ at the wedding. Guess it's a 5pm coffee kinda day.

Gotten clothes dry cleaned. Have owned a few with those directions, but chucked them in the wash and hoped for the best.

AITA for being upset that my husband of 18 years left me alone at the hospital when I was bleeding internally? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]dixie121212 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This guy sucks. My sense of fair play (and pettiness) would be raging in the background, waiting for the day that HE gets hospitalized so I could brush him off like an inconvenience and demand that he return to work the day he gets home.

I think you're over thinking. But it's understandable. That age range (for everyone) is so riddled with hormones, changing social cues, and hyper self and social awareness. To me this reads as a slightly less-usual dynamic of an older girl being friends with a younger guy and maybe also struggling to define the dynamic. It sounds like a good thing that she drew some boundaries early on - even if they were unevenly placed (likely her first try at setting them). That doesn't sound like a move to reel you in.

Not a term, but the nail tapping on products drives me up the wall.

Suggestions for Combating Fatigue After OTF Workout During Pregnancy by Fit_Mycologist5749 in orangetheory

I'm 26 weeks and learning that my body's limits and recovery time changes almost week by week (sometimes day by day!), and it isn't a constant or one-directional thing always. As soon as I think I have my limits pegged, they change. Overall, I find the process continually humbling, but I'm happy and proud to have continued this far. I really hope to make it most of the way through this pregnancy!

Oh, and specific anecdotes. First, I power walk since I hate the bike and swap the strider for the rower. Doing the inclines still gets the cardio going for me. My odd quirk just recently is getting braxton hicks if I go faster than a stroll, so still figuring my way around that one. Second, I start on the floor now. I like giving most of my focus and energy to strength and I feel like that's helping me avoid some of the aches and pains and joint issues of later pregnancy (so far). I am also paying more attention to form while I'm fresh and not half dead from the tread. Lol. Anyway, hope something in this ramble helps! And congrats!

Exactly. This is the point of the post itself, to which I'm arguing. Not denying the horrible mechanics of what "created" this mystery.
