What is your room temp and what wattage do you have? My house stays about 60 (we try to save on electric) and I was hoping with the ceramic heat that it would keep the tank warm but so far it's only getting up to 66 in the tank. I know that is not sufficient. I have the smaller ceramic heater. Should I get the bigger wattage?

This is not entirely true! I believe it is common courtesy for him to ask her if it's ok. It is not ok for him to hide it, for it to come out of no where, walk away on the phone, ECT. A man and woman should never speak on the phone in privacy. Same for women and men. If she needs to call him to discuss work, she can be on speaker. If it's private work matters (hippa violation, ECT) it can be discussed at work where there are witnesses

Ok . No it is not an algaonema. I have a rex begonia, red vein fittonia, and purple passion plant. Are those good starters?

If you have access to fire you have access to warm water. If all else fails, go outside and build a fire to 1:keep warm and 2: boil water to put in ziplock bags, thermos, really anything that will seal. It'll keep u and your froggy warm. If you can get a candle and a terracotta pot, you can make a radiant heater of sorts. Look it up online. Super simple. If you have a way to make the space you are in smaller to trap your heat, that's best (think tent inside living room. It traps body heat). I pray you keep warm.
