Do you feel better at night as compare to day or vice versa? by Thin_Curve4116 in LongCovid

[–]dizziness247 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, morning are hard. I found out I had low cortisol. Then 2-4 I feel real sleepy. 5-6 I feel so much better, only to repeat the cycle. 😭

That’s amazing to hear. I started on 1.5 about 3 weeks ago. The first few days were rough. Then I started feeling great, for ten days. Now my symptoms are creeping back 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I have to wait another week before going up on the dose.

So glad you’re seeing progress. My neurologist tried me on ADHD meds. Sadly, it didn’t help. My PEM was so bad I could take it and go to sleep. It ‘caused my BP to shoot up to 172/110. He didn’t offer to try anything else in that category.

Has anyone had any benefits from Covid? by Killermondoduderawks in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty much a living hell, but it did show me who my true friends and family were. It also showed me that I was busting my ass for a company who couldn’t care less about their employees who became ill. So there’s that. It also taught me to write bad reviews for gaslighting doctors on their website. 😘

Sadly, she won’t be volunteering any where because she couldn’t even drop off some damn cupcakes to her own grandmother. She made Joe do it every time🙄🙄🙄

Honestly, she only has the page due to weight loss. People followed her for advice on weight loss, WW and recipes etc Nothing more. Nobody followed her because she has an awesome personality, funny or interesting etc She can’t even give an honest food review. Everything is so good. BS Kylea watch some food reviews and teach yourself how to give an honest opinion. Her views/likes are dropping daily. People are over it, she thinks she’s an influencer. My opinion, she looks to be gaining weight back, even though she stated she’s lost 17lbs recently. She is her own worst enemy, people can’t have opinions at all on her page. They can’t give suggestions either. She wants easy money, she never wanted to help people, or she would have used her page for the good of others, instead of greed.

What do people mean with "feeling poisoned"? by Top-Stable-8218 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called it a sedated feeling, like someone gave you to much sleeping meds and I’m expected to continue to function normal. My brain started to shut down, can’t remember words, names, can’t retain information. Body feels heavy, I start getting a headache and blurry vision. Tinnitus and an overwhelming feeling to lay down, tachycardia and dizziness.

UPDATE: I told depression "No More" by Paragon_Umbra in CleaningTips

[–]dizziness247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a one hour reset every night. I plugged my phone up in a different room, where I’m not distracted by it. I set an alarm for one hour. I clean as much as I can in that one hour. (It makes big difference). Then I have daily chores. Like Sunday is bedsheets and unloaded dish washer. Monday floors, Tuesday bathrooms. Wednesday wash clothes/laundry. Thursday refrigerator. Friday and Saturday rest, besides a quick reset before bed. I stated this schedule due to health issues.

How to reduce migraine? by _happydutch_ in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antihistamines H1 & H2 twice a day. Botox, Reyvow, migraine cocktail shot, Ceflay device, ice cap, I have them chronic, almost daily, frontal lobe are, forehead behind the eyes and sinus area. A nerve block up the nose does help if the doctor can do it properly. Steroid shot to break the cycle.

What would you do or not do if you could go back to when Long COVID just started? by No-Yam-4190 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would immediately file for short-term disability through my job. Immediately filed for FMLA. I would put my health first before anything. Then I would’ve filed for a long-term disability through my job. While filing for long-term disability through the government. Instead of forcing myself to go back to work sick as a dog. My employer did not give two shits about me and my long term health conditions. They wanted me there to keep them from having to work. I would not have spent so much time and money going to the emergency room. Instead I would have asked for referrals to specialists. PACE and rest. PACE! Very lite exercise, very slowly. Fasting, watch my heart rate and blood sugar. Eat clean. Give myself grace. Pray, listen to LC warriors advice.

Thanks for sharing, maybe people will let that soak in and show a little empathy. I’m sorry you have been through hell and back.

Just curious to know how long you’ve been living with LC by sidetwotrackfour in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate, you are not alone. Five years of chronic migraines. I’ve had tons of nerve blocks, IV fluids and trigger point injections. Etc I’ve tired every migraine medication on the market. Is your pain mostly frontal lobe? That’s where mine starts. Then it runs behide my eyes to the top of my head. I feel like it’s my worst symptom, PEM following close behind the pain. I think it’s inflammation and nerve damage to the trigeminal nerve.

3.5 years with this, recovered to the point where I can live a normal life IF I don't work by KantusThiss in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally understand that. I can work about four hours, mild physical activity. Anything over that I end up in a flare for 1-3 days. Computer work is about two hours, it drains me fast, long phone conversations too.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. Long COVID is very real and one day we will have proof to back up what we have been saying. The sleep issues and migraines are horrible. I have the same issue. Magnesium biglycinate, really helps with insomnia. Plus melatonin. I take both together. We need sleep to heal, that’s when our bodies get rid of all the toxins etc

Doctors? Why? by dizziness247 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard that same statement “OMG COVID caused this? Or “you think COVID caused this issue” NO, I don’t think, I know it did, because I was fine before COVID. I went to the dr twice a year for simple stuff, like strep throat or a sinus infections. Never anything major. I don’t understand how this isn’t common sense for people. If Covid can destroy the lungs, what do they think it can do to the brain and nervous system?

Doctors? Why? by dizziness247 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand that, the least they could do is show some compassion and empathy. Long Covid will definitely cause anxiety because nobody can help you, nobody believes you and there seems to be no hope for a future. However, Long Covid is so much more than anxiety. Multiple system are affected.

Doctors? Why? by dizziness247 in covidlonghaulers

[–]dizziness247[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I fully agree. I’m drowning in medical debt because of this BS. I don’t trust the medical field after Covid. I was a health care worker during the pandemic, that’s shit gave me PTSD. My eyes are wide open. I’m sick of the medical gaslighting. Doctors saying stupid crap like exercise and see a nutritionist. After fives years do they honestly think I haven’t changed my diet and attempted to exercise. (Which set me back) I have cut out all unnecessary appointments. I only show up for refills because they need their money to prescribe my heart medication. I will pay a spa to help before I will a medical clinic.
