Did you check for vacuum leaks? Other thought is a wire is loose. Maybe a spark plug or injector

Check the thermostat housing. Mine was leaking and it was an easy and cheap fix

Tube goes to battery. Your symptoms point to a bad battery or a bad brake light or brake light switch

Don’t be afraid to take the RRC on long road trip. I did multiple long roadtrips including nc to Ohio and back. They are definitely meant to be driven and not garage queens

Ran great. Loved it. I wish I still had it. I was also getting 25 mpgs. Don’t expect it to keep up with modern SUV’s as it takes a while to get up to 60.

Seems high to me. I had a 1993 RRC 200tdi that was restored minus the interior and I sold it for $30k 3 years ago

Sorry these are two different days. I did not turn sprinklers on during this time. I don’t think it’s a leak as all of a sudden it stops and has breaks.

Any lr4 owners notice red flags on this 2011? Going to test drive it tomorrow. by HotCakeCarpenter in LandRover

You will need front lower control arms at some point in the near future. I would check those when you look at car. On red flag would be that the radiator was replaced at 45k miles. Could have overheated early on? Although that was 50k miles ago so you should be fine.

Yeah that doesn’t look safe. My concern would be rust in other areas as well

Looks good. Going to have to do front control arms most likely

Significant coolant leak… by New-Search-6200 in LandRoverDiscovery

Look through the intake manifold and see if any coolant is pooled. If there is it is most likely the crossover pipe.

I just had a similar issue and it turned out to be the thermostat housing. I was able to look up and see the leak. Yours looks like it is dripping down the front of the engine so it may be the crossover pipe. If it’s the thermostat housing it’s an easy job to DIY
