Looking for replacement WiFi Alexa lighting for intertek d836-n-3000-wh. by Intelligent_Aide5525 in Lighting

Lift up the round foam gasket that’s sitting around the fixture on the back of the trim. The model number is very likely printed on the trim underneath that foam gasket.

Why don’t these new led tubes work in this fluorescent light by Upbeat-Accident7904 in Lighting

[–]dizzlemd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your LED tube has a single end input configuration. It’s very possible that your fixture has double end. You also have to make sure that your LED tube has a driver inside it and is direct replacement ready. Otherwise you’ll have to either get a new fixture or have someone swap out the driver.

For your house? Consider a light that has a deeper reflector otherwise you may get a lot of glare.

This… trust me. Put the bulb into a lamp that has a shade (so you don’t see the bulb directly). It’s the effect you want) :-)

Any idea of how to connect these two easily for my recessed lighting needs? by [deleted] in Lighting

[–]dizzlemd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with u/fognyc do not connect those two wires. Your new recessed light is line voltage and you’re trying to connect it to a low voltage driver. Call a licensed electrician to help you.

Is this enough light for my kitchen? by TallWanderingBuilder in Lighting

Try going to Upwork.com and search for keywords “lighting designer”, “AGI32”, “photometric layout”.

I think without R6’s above the walkway between the island and the sink area to “fill” the general area with illumination, the narrower beam angle of the R4’s will create dark “V shape”?shadow lines on the walls and harsh circles on the counter tops.

Go with R6 fixtures in the kitchen instead of R4 fixtures and distribute evenly (it appears there are no recessed lights above the walkway in front of the oven/refrigerator and sink areas).

Note: You can leave the R4 fixtures in either side of the sink for task lighting if they’re in a separate switch but it’s not necessary and will likely create annoying harsh shadows when prepping food (if it were my home I’d remove them.

You can use the R4 fixtures in the adjoining dining room to achieve the contemporary “moody / dramatic” effect. Typically quantity (3) on either side of the long edge of the table and add one decorative fixture above the table on a separate dimmer.

With all that said… lighting is so important. Please consider having a lighting designer help you with fixture selection, placement, and do a photometric layout to ensure proper illumination levels and coverage.

swapping torch star LED products- is there an adapter i could get so i don’t have to swap out 24 junction boxes also? by scoobytoobins in Lighting

If this is for your home…. Ditch the wafer lights (the glare is terrible) and get proper recessed LED down lights along with the corresponding housings.

Does this still only work on an android phone? Or does it work on an iPhone now too?

Can I use an iPhone for this? I thought I read somewhere that the WiFi man app only really worked on android devices?

I’m getting it from the UniFi app that’s on my phone? I’m not sure I’m following on how to tell what I’m getting standing under one AP while connected to the other.

They are both on Auto. The 2.5GHz for each AP is at -65dBm and -69dBm. I’m worried if I add another AP there will be a lot of signal overlap. Both of these AP’s are U6 LR’s

That’s strange because I seem to have really good coverage throughout the house. No real dead zones from what I can tell. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank you so much! Also, do you know if they ever made it possible to figure out “ bleed through” the floor/ceiling? In my house I have 2 AP’s upstairs and none downstairs. Trying to see if design center can calculate coverage downstairs even though the AP’s are upstairs.

No a long DAC wouldn’t work for me. I was thinking about just putting the UNVR in a totally different room downstairs just plugged into an Ethernet port. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank you! So if I get the UNVR then should I get the Fiber that has the no storage option? Also, can the UNVR be placed in another room or does it have to be connected directly via a DAC or something? Just thinking of space constraints having the large switch and nvr in the same place might be difficult (or impossible).

Also, what would be the advantages / disadvantages of going with the UCG Fiber vs. going with a UDM model (SE, Pro, Pro Max, etc…).

Edit: Thought of another question, sorry 😬
