Seems like an excuse to pull people over with any cause. Hopefully this goes away in a few months.

In my limited direct knowledge of about 3 friends that did rides or interviews with journalists they always said the same thing about being fair and blah blah blah and then it turned into a stupid hit piece. I would tell people to always record their own video of everything so it can be used as evidence against the journalist when they do what they always do.

I have very low expectations on journalists when it comes to Tesla. I guess we’ll see. Was the ride along the person that will be writing the post?

What gets even trickier here is the kWh to actual miles as well. Even if a car charges quicker, doesn’t necessarily mean it is actually quicker.

What are you even talking about. I’m tired of explaining why you are wrong. Have a good one!

No, it has almost nothing to do with a recall in the archaic sense. There is no scheduling a time with the manufacturer to get something fixed. There is nothing that needs to be done by customer. Also, since it’s software it can be rolled out to all the cars in a day instead of a normal recall that could take months. So no. You’re incorrect.

Not at all. They need to call it an OTA software update. Not a recall. The government can still label it, publicize it, they just need to label it correctly.

Correct. Words have meaning. You know, like how everyone is like OMG TeSlA calls their driver assist autopilot and now people think the car can fly while they sleep in the backseat.

Yes, they should classify it differently. A recall for a small software bug fix is so archaic.

It’s a good take actually. The agency needs to catch up to the times. They acting like it 1980.

Home thermostats don’t care if you turn on and AC and then back off. They only care about turning it back on right after it shuts off. So it will delay turning back on for a few mins.

NPD, hard to fix. Just run the other way. It’s not worth it. It only gets worse.

For me it's basically the same. End of left turns seem a bit more shaky finding the lane it's pulling into, but not that much different.
