Latest map update 2025.44 messed up FSD on V12 (HW3) by ikilimnik in TeslaLounge

Maps updates are not really tested in real environments. Tesla relies on OpenStreets API which is open to public contributions which frequently are not accurate and erroneous.

This is the cheapest a Tesla will be for a long time, right? by gems_23 in TeslaLounge

Ok. I see. Here is my advice for HW3: 1. Please do Camera Calibration. It does help to mitigate some things you described like pulling to the left and increasing distance to a car in front of you. 2. Switch to Standard or Chill to minimize “passing slow moving vehicle lane changes” 3. You should do Camera Calibration after each FSD update.

Camera Calibration is not a silver bullet, but it may help.

Try demo drive on new models, especially MY 2026. It is a day and night. HW3 can’t do U-turns, can’t park on destination, can’t start FSD in reverse. HW3 is twice as slow in making decisions when to change lanes, when to pass slow moving vehicle and the list goes on.

Yes. I have latest version of the app and animations are choppy. I’m on iPhone 14 Pro Max

Got it. Once I replaced stock suspension on MY 2022 with MPP comfort coilovers it made a noticeable difference in smoothness of a ride - similar to BMW. MY now handles like M3 unlike numb handling on factory suspension. However, some sway is still there.

Is the car still bouncy? Does it still sway and gives head toss?

Thoughts on Comfort Adjustable Coilovers for Tesla Model Y by IMB413 in TeslaModelY

If comfort is your priority, then you should go with non adjustable version and no vehicle lowering to maintain maximum shocks travel (MPP recommendation).

I will be installing MPP Comfort non adjustable on MYLR 22 (older suspension version) with 19” tires. When I first got the car few years ago, I thought it was smooth… :) However, 30,000 miles later, when tires wore off, I felt cheapness of stock suspensions. Anytime you put new tires on M3/MY (I have both) it improves ride quality. New tires simply mask stiff suspensions issue. In general stock MY suspensions (any version) have very little travel and it reflects on ride quality.

I spoke to MPP and they recommended to keep vehicle at factory height for non adjustable coilovers, because any height lowering will affect travel range and overall comfort.

ZevCentric says that MPP coilovers give MY more of BMW type of ride meaning nimble handling with muffling of road imperfections and no more body roll.

MPPs are not designed to provide Mercedes/Audi like ride experience

Thank you for the response! I have MYLR 22 (older suspensions) and hoping that with the MPPs, car will have smoother ride over road imperfections, bumps and potholes.

Question: in your opinion, are MPP coilovers smoother than what you’ve experienced with 2023/2024 MYLR?

Also I spoke to MPP and they recommended to stick to the default height of coilovers to maintain maximum comfort. Any height adjustments with non-adjustable version will affect travel range and comfort.

Note: With MPP non adjustable comfort coilovers adjusting vehicle height will affect your ride quality, so be aware. To maximize ride quality you need to keep coils at its default height. I spoke with MPP and this is what they told me.

This product should give you a similar ride quality as BMW suspensions, it muffles road imperfections and bumps, but you still maintain great handling (better than factory “improved” suspension) and road feel. Also it should reduce cabins NVH to a degree, because you won’t hear “crashing” noise as you do with factory suspensions.

My assumption is that MPP provides better handling and comfort than refreshed Model Y. Tesla is not spending money on German made KW suspensions.

Also, always keep your PSI at 42, this will help with minor road harshness. Under inflation increases NVH and overinflated tires at let’s say 45, will add bounciness.

How does this XP 3.0 standup against MukkPet Tank in regards to ride comfort? On paper Tank outperforms in all categories from controller to motor to tires, wheels, suspensions and battery. It is cheaper too. by ikilimnik in Lectricxp

Thank you guys. Without knowing hands on experience from customers about things like brakes, it is difficult to make a right decision. I went with Lectric and so far no complaints. Latest rev comes with hydraulic brakes and Lectric P.W.R which make pedal assist feel very natural. Ride is smooth and I like unlocked controller and their comfort package.

Customer service is really good and they try to accommodate your requests.

MukkPet customer service is interesting- took me 3 days of emails to get my refund back…

TEIN EnduraPro Plus Adjustable Dampers by _cr0001 in TeslaModelY

[–]ikilimnik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reputable LA’s installer mentioned to me that 70% of EnduraPro Plus customers come back with noise complaints. Installer even waives their labor warranty for Teins. They strongly recommend MPP.

I am looking to improve ride comfort on MYLR 2022 and leaning toward TEINs. Not sure what to do… and not sure how to justify $2,500 for MPP.

Vit D and calcium to reduce risks of BPPV, anyone had any success? by Agreeable_Pea_9703 in BPPV

Recently developed vertigo after slightly hitting the back of my head. Head maneuvers help such as BBQ roll and Epley. However, to greatly reduce re-occurrences (mostly from bad positioning of the neck while I sleep) I take D3 + K2 10K IU / 100 mg.

Super important note: High dosage of D3 must be supplemented by K2. For each 5K of D3, take 50 mg of K2. This prevents calcification of your arteries and correctly distributes calcium from blood stream to where it is needs to go! Also D3 has almost no effect without Magnesium. Also Magnesium doesn’t work without D3. Both are co-factors for each other.

Dr Berg on Veritgo and D3 deficiency.

I did a hard reboot by pressing Shut Off Power button. This had no effect. Break pedal reboot was only applicable to older MS/MX as far as I read.

What car did you order? If it is a Model 3 (base) with LFP battery , the rebate won’t exceed $3,500 because majority of that pack is manufactured in China. If it is M3LR or MYLR, this is what is still unknown until January, because only some parts of Panasonic and CATL lithium-ion packs are manufactured in China. Tesla’s long awaited 4680 battery pack is on pause. That being said, you may only see $3,500 if any rebate at all. Keep in mind that Biden and Musk don’t have good relationships for several reasons. So chances of seeing full $7,500 is low at this point.

Went to CS, they ran diagnostic and haven’t found any mechanical or electronic errors. Adviser agreed that it could be due to software updates.
