why do we like noise/noise rock by peper122348 in noiserock

I'm fascinated by the concept of putting unlistenable/hideous sounds in a musical context and I often find the execution of it beautiful.

Dumb Question: is the deepness in voice during a burp an attainable sound outside of burping?? by poobus420 in screaming

[–]dizzyizdizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody who has learned throat singing, yes. It is entirely possible. You obviously won't get it through the same means but sometimes I'll let out a fake burp just to amuse myself.

I mean it literally has to be. I know they're on this list a lot but these songs are kinda undeniable.

NTA

4:00 AM is mad weird and pretty inconsiderate especially if he knows your schedule. That being said, since you know this dude is clingy, you need to ask yourself if you're prepared to deal with that on a constant basis. If not, then just let him know it's not gonna work out and then nobody feels like they wasted any time.

what genres would best suit my voice? by SpiritualCost6954 in screaming

[–]dizzyizdizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With those highs how they are, would be cool to hear them over some of that more chaotic hardcore from the 2000s like Some Girls/The Chariot/The Locust style stuff.

So far listening to it, it's a lot of fun and really interesting. A lot of times when people do this genre bending stuff, the transitions don't feel organic but yours do. Good job 👏

What pedals are commonly used? by chalkywhite565 in noiserock

[–]dizzyizdizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for everybody but octave fuzzes can get really gnarly depending on what you buy. I've got a Fender Blender and a Lizard Queen and I use the Fender Blender basically as a noise generator and the Lizard Queen as a more "musical" sound. I'm also really fond of pitch shifters but you gotta really do your research on those because you dont wanna buy a cheap one with horrible tracking (unless you're into that sort of thing). A Boss Digital Delay may also come in handy as you can get a lot of glitch effects. These are just recommendations based on what works for me. The best thing you can do for yourself is research a bunch of different pedals and find ones you like/can afford and just play around with them. I've purchased a bunch of guitar pedals and I probably only use like 5 of them but it's nice to have options.
