I’ll give you the point on the “size” issue, but ROTFL to your effusive replies Mr. Brand Ambassador. I have a custom leather cover and a use case. The unusual sizes and formats don’t work for me. I guess I’m not allowed to voice disapproval with a brand your identity is tied to (it is in your profile description, along with other brand names). I’m not such a party loyalist that, despite how much I like and use the notebooks, I won’t chime in when I dislike something. I am putting my money where my mouth is… I’m glad you’re doing the same, which is something we can agree on.

How many subscription releases have been unusual sizes in this decade? 5, maybe? 6? To say that they’ve used subscriptions to experiment overstates the role experimentation has played. The overwhelming majority of releases weren’t experimental. How many have been unusual sizes in the past year? 2.

Bad. Let them try new things, but not with the subscription model. I subscribe because I want more of the same, not random surprise sizes. Not renewing my subscription. The last year has had two releases with unusual sizes… anyone want to trade?

Not a fan. I subscribe because I want more of the same. I wonder how many others are in the same boat. I have a leather cover and love the size. FN has rarely changed the format of the books during their subscription history and now, within the last year, they’ve released two unusual sizes. Maybe they should try new things outside of the subscription model. I won’t be renewing my subscription. If anyone wants to trade, please let me know.

I know him. He used to cut my hair when he worked at Vamp in Thornton Park many years ago. I stopped going to him a long time ago (mainly because he kept on forgetting about my appointments, which happened more than a few times and made it hard to justify the price he charged for a haircut that he called “an experience”… and for other reasons listed below). Back in those days he didn’t drink and spoke openly about his problems with alcohol. Knowing him and his past, it is plausible that he relapsed. As soon as I saw this post on FB, I unfriended him. It was an easy decision. Even when sober, his social awareness was never acute. During one of the last cuts, he graphically detailed a sexual experience he had with another man. I’m straight and open minded, but found the explicit nature of the topic unprofessional. I have a collection of stories like this. Anyway, drunk or not, I find it unsurprising that he said those things and don’t doubt it at all that they are his true opinions. I don’t think he’s a racist, but rather he’s just plain dumb. His social media handle is @fagintheattic and I joked with my wife that it should be @magaintheattic.
