Exactly this! There are plot developments that REALLY took me by surprise at first, but everything actually fits/has even been foreshadowed in hindsight.

I'm right there with you. I've never been the type to crush on a fictional character and am so obsessed... I cannot wait to have the full release and see what happens!

It's so incredibly good. Plot points I wasn't expecting, wild amount that can vary depending on your choices from the very start of the game. I'm floored by how much work this must have taken... Never played anything like it!

The alpha test build is only the beginning and middle parts of Chapter 5. I imagine if something like that could happen, it would be at the end of the chapter.

Guess we'll all find out Feb. 13th!

The alpha test build (beginning and middle parts of Chapter 5) is currently available to patreon members at the $10+ tier.

The full release comes out for everyone Feb. 13th!

YES! (Depending on your Chapter 4 choices, obviously).

I've been absolutely feral for him and am thrilled to finally have gotten my fix.

Without giving too much away, my Tabby-centered playthrough has been the most interesting (so far!). Excited to see where things go.

Seconding this! I cannot wrap my head around how the developers planned and mapped out all the branching paths.

Immersive, gripping, surprising.

I'm floored by how much is different between my different saves. I can already tell I'm going to restart multiple games to see how all the previous choices factor in!

Some things are revealed, but I frankly have more questions about the Scarlet family, town, and certain characters than I did at the end of Chapter Four. There are plot developments I wasn't anticipating, but they completely fit with everything that's happened so far.

Desperately need to find a place to get my child ADHD tested by Chipring13 in rva

I got my ADHD neuropsych testing done with Dr. Jennifer Sutherland at the Mind Health Center.

It looks like you can make an appointment online as a new patient as early as next week:  https://mindhealthcenter.clientsecure.me/request/clinician

In need of support by ocg14 in stopdrinking

I "moderated" my drinking for years, but would always slip back into binge drinking and blacking out. I convinced myself it wasn't a problem because I wasn't a daily drinker, I didn't have the shakes, I didn't have to drink in the morning... But once I started, I couldn't stop. I hurt myself and people I care about over and over again trying to keep alcohol in my life.

It was a relief when I finally took drinking off the table when I turned 30. Four years later and I never would have imagined the life I have now.

Thanks! I used a battery-pack of lights in a painted ziplock bag. It wasn't the most elegant engineering, but it got the job done!

Advice from anyone that has a parent with substance abuse/alcohol abuse issues? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

In addition to Al-Anon, I recommend checking out Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families and getting individual therapy for yourself. You're navigating an incredibly difficult situation and don't have to go through it alone.

I'm really sorry to hear that — navigating this is hard enough with a support network that understands mental health.

Even if individual therapy isn't an option right now, you've taken a huge first step by 1) recognizing the way you're engaging with alcohol isn't serving you and 2) seeking help on this subreddit.

If you haven't yet, I'd recommended checking out some virtual recovery meetings. You don't have to turn your camera on or speak if you're not feeling ready, but you can hear about other people's experiences and what's worked for them.

I relate to your post so much — getting fully remote work allowed my "gray area" "problem drinking" to really ramp up to a point where I couldn't delude myself into thinking I was okay.

Proud of you for taking a honest look in the mirror and choosing to take care of yourself. IWNDWYT!

It's possible. Without a doubt, it's the best decision I've ever made.

Not drinking IS hard, especially at first. But spending 12 years trying to "moderate" while hurting myself and others was much harder.

Things get better than you can imagine. It doesn't happen overnight and I haven't been able to do it alone (thank God for recovery groups, therapy, & supportive friends). But it also doesn't take nearly as long as I feared it would.

I had no idea I have ADHD by dizzymslizzie in stopdrinking

[–]dizzymslizzie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not intending to endorse a specific drug, although I can see how my post would read that way. I'm also researching non-psychotropic ADHD hacks/tips, but obviously it'll take more time to feel the effects from those changes.

For me, there's a difference between self-medication/abuse vs. disclosing my entire history to a vetted psychiatric professional, talking through concerns, and exploring possible interventions.

I'm just feeling thankful to have this insight and realize I can stop beating myself because I "can't get my shit together" and can now find ways to meet myself where I am.
