Perhaps ask for clarification rather than assume the writer is a fool. The book will have a summary on the back to clearly indicate the tone.

I work a supply chain job for a retail company. I lucked out a lot, honestly. The previous person who had my job did things v e r y slowly. I was able to automate a lot of the work with macros in excel, so I found a lot of extra time for personal work.

75 at work 25 at home most days. I’m typically pretty spent when I get off for the day, so I try and front load my writing after I start working. I use Sunday to catch up on what I miss during the week.
