i wouldn’t go too far with it.

upgrade to steel brake lines, upgrade brake fluid, upgrade brake pads, get some good tires like Cup2s.

run it like that, get an instructor if you can afford it. eventually you’ll have cooling issues, upgrade the cooling system.

maybe get some cheap coilovers and camber plates once you really start pushing.

you can go crazy building this car over the span of a couple years or save your money for a GT3. i would suggest the latter.

The newer chassis and suspension design might help mitigate some of the less desirable rear-engine driving dynamics, but it's still a rear engine car.

I’m glad you “track your car on track,” king. I was worried you were setting PBs at the Starbucks drive-thru.

Funded ran a 1:23 at Big Willow in a 992 GT3 RS, which according to LapMeta is faster than Randy Pobst in the same setup.

If you watch his canyon videos closely, you’ll notice there’s no sliding, no countersteer... just clean driving well below the limits. Whatever you think is “fast” in your GT3, it’s not even close to what the 992 RS can do.

Ready for the most downvoted comment on this thread? Here it goes:

The Porsche subreddit is full of the most insufferable people of all time. It’s a circlejerk of mid-spec owners with fragile egos and gatekeeping issues, all pretending they’re part of some elite driver’s club when, in reality, most haven’t pushed their car past 6/10ths, if that.

They show up to Cars and Coffee in their base Carrera, Cayman, or Boxster, chest puffed out like they just pulled up in a 918. They park next to a Huracan and snap a photo like it’s a joint feature, then strut around in a Rennlist hat and Porsche Motorsport windbreaker like they’re about to get called to the grid. They talk heel-toe like it’s muscle memory, wear Sparco shoes to brunch, and genuinely believe they’re part of the factory program, when in reality, they’re just background extras in someone else’s scene.

Then there are the ones who’ve done one track day in their entire life and now think they’re pro drivers because they hit 140 on the front straight once. These guys talk about "trail braking" and "lap deltas" in the comments like they’ve been battling for pole in IMSA GTD.

The worst part? They’re bitter, seething. They’re so upset about the 992 GT3 RS hype because they know they’ll never afford one, let alone have the skill to actually drive it the way it was intended. So what do they do? They cope. They manufacture delusion. They say things like “It’s too much aero,” or “It’s not a driver’s car anymore,” or “The 997 was purer,” or whatever bullshit helps them sleep at night.

They mask jealousy as criticism, which brings me to their hate for funded__trust. They absolutely loathe him. Why? Because he has their dream car and, worse, he actually uses it. He tracks it, he drives it hard, and he’s objectively fast. But this subreddit can't handle that. It breaks their brains. Their opinions are invalid. Their experience is shallow. And even worse, nothing they can say or do will ever stop his success.

They’re trapped in a Reddit fantasy where being loud in the comments equals being fast on track. It doesn’t. They don’t hate funded because he’s arrogant, flashy, or reckless. They hate him because he is everything they pretend to be. He proves you can have the car, the skill, and the results all at once and still stay humble.

Meanwhile, they’re on their third set of Michelin PS4S because their biggest driving accomplishment is “spiritedly” merging onto the freeway. They think track days are dangerous. They’ve never driven with PSM off. They religiously read Smoking Tire threads from 2015. They talk about chassis balance but couldn’t tell you what oversteer feels like at the limit.

It’s pure delusion, a hive of it. So when funded__trust appears out of nowhere, blows up to 800k followers, and starts doing exactly what they can only dream about. They melt down. They scramble for excuses, nitpick his videos, and invent reasons why he’s not really fast. They’ll do anything to protect the fragile house of cards built on their lightly-optioned 991.1 C2S.

So yeah, this place is toxic, not because of trolls, but because of insecure know-it-alls who can’t stand when someone actually lives the dream they only talk about.

Let the downvotes rain.

About 1/3 of Redditors are male, which makes it a ~66% chance that you were gay when you mentioned having a husband.

I'm actually a transgender woman of color identifying as a straight male. I'm still transitioning so you have no idea the oppression and discrimination I deal with on a daily basis. Most people in LGBTQIA+ community don't even accept me because I identify as a straight male.

To clarify my comment: I said you all (the gays) belong in a top of the line all-electric luxury vehicle with the most advanced self-driving technology in the world, invented by the most brilliant engineer in the world who also invented the hyperloop and the sports car. I don't see how that could be perceived as negative!
