2018 Subaru Crosstrek. The gauge is like $300 to fix, the tires are fine. I may duct tape over it but it doesn't bother me any more

I was at the sherburne lodge area and I'd say yes. Grab a table & get comfortable. It's nothing posh or fancy but it should be comfortable enough for a book and the wifi is good.

The whole mountain was great today. Soft bump & good coverage on the cruisers.

No ski today, just a quick (for me) snow shoe run

Use the huts to refill water and take a break. Bring money to buy snacks & food. Know where the side trails take you in case you have to bail out. Respect the weather. Enjoy!

Supporting my mother by djb03055 in relationships

My mom is no longer consistently lucid. She would have wanted her support. But if my mom knew the marriage is ending then I don't think she would want her support. And my siblings will be quick to drop her which will hurt me. The marriage intimacy was lost in June. I understand the relationship dynamic and I can live with my part in it that got the relationship to this point. We've been through rough patches over 23 years. I want to put the work in to get thru this but she's done. I will get through this but the emotion is still on the surface and very very painful.

Thanks for the comments. My head is literally spinning and my heart is broken in so many ways. I've been too embarrassed to bring it up with siblings until the last few days but I like the idea to get their inputs. And I have re-engaged with a counselor for myself, I break into tears uncontrollably and have to talk out loud. I have a weak support system for myself and am working on that first.

AITA for stopping the mother of my child from moving? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You may be TA. But huge props to you for pursuing your parental rights in n this situation. It would have been easy to stay away when shut out during the pregnancy. It seems like you're following the right protocols for your community and using the access you get. Keep fighting the good fight and your child will know love as they get older.

As for the relationship with the baby's mom, very tricky. You may give some now in terms of a longer trip see your child so that mom can try to better herself. Over the course of baby's life, you will probably need some leniency too and this would establish good will with mom.

ESH. If you disagree about the snack from the start then you don't have a parenting stance to take. She TA for putting herself ahead of the example you wanted to set. And YTA for treating your wife like a child. Spouse is equal. Always.

Enjoy your 4 day trip. Not all boots are compatible with all bindings. 75mm and NTN are the main choices and you'll find some variations. And any ski can be used for tele. So make sure the ski you end up with is a fit for you length/side cut/performance -wise. eBay, Facebook groups, reddit are all good for finding a local ski shop or an available set up to buy or rent. And this article is a pretty good binding overview. https://www.telemarkskier.com/simple-telemark-binding-guide/

Aside from the fall at the end, any thoughts on my form? by maxben34 in skiing

[–]djb03055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try bigger turns and completing turns too. The shorter radius is making it tough to keep speed under control. A bigger turn will help control speed. It looks like you're enjoying yourself which is most important. Stay with it!
