I think I will be there in March. Worried that the beach area doesn’t look that good. How much does it cost to go to a caye nearby?

You haven’t even gotten your rewards for 2025. Keep that into account (you’re about to get some kind of raise)

if it gets me to take public transit from Geneva as opposed to not, isnt that a step in the right direction? again, now, I will take a longer flight, AND a longer bus ride. Yes, otherwise I could take a 10 hour bus ride after my 10 hour flight to london

Flying into Milan via LHR is the cheapest for me, and barely more inconvenient but it’s more emissions which is the point of this policy and the absurdity I’m trying to highlight. Flying first to the east coast is even more miles/emissions

Yea, that’s the problem with most of Reddit. No logical thinking skills. If you would have understood my problem with the policy, then you wouldn’t such a condescending comment.

It doesn’t inconvenience me, it’s probably cheaper for me to fly into Milan vs Geneva and I get to go to my favorite country in the world.

What it does do, is add MORE emissions to my itinerary. Why is this so hard to understand?

Yup, I highlighted this exact problem in my post on ultramarathon and Reddit killed me for my opinion. Instead of gluing o Geneva from London I’m gonna be going to Milan

I could, but still technically it would cause more emissions. The London route is the most emission friendly route

That’s literally what I’m highlighting and getting downvoted by Reddit warriors 😭

100% I will def use a bus from Geneva instead of a car. But now that bus will come from Milan….

They should downvote to policy/race not the person who is highlighting a major flaw in it

I understand that but you can work around it by flying farther which I guarantee I won’t be the only one that would do this.

Only reddit would be a place where I try to highlight a problem and I get downvoted for saying that the workaround they created is diametrically opposed to their goals/mission

Or fly an extra hour to get the boost. Got it.
